Had an amazing time at brightonSEO! Some highlights: 😊 Met lots of people, spent some time with Militsa Koleva, Iva J, Taco Verdonschot, Judith Lewis, Gus Pelogia, Sarah Chaya Presch, Alan Presch, Andy Frobisher, 🌈 Petra Kis-Herczegh, Jeroen Stikkelorum, Martijn Hoving, Frank van Dijk 📈, Jerrel Zandgrond, Natalia Witczyk, Dawn Anderson, Sarah McDowell, Mark Williams-Cook, Michel Kant, John Mueller, Begum Kaya, Amanda King, Roxana Stingu, Simon Lesser, Marco Giordano, Mauro Cattaneo, Baptiste "Baba" Hausmann, Rishi Lakhani, Areej AbuAli, Wende Pollé, Dani Leitner and many many more. 🎓 Talks, masterclasses and a roundtable around AI (of course), automation, analysis, Core Web Vitals and in-house SEO. Of course couldn’t miss the keynote. I’ll share links to available slidedecks & some insights in the comments. I have some homework for when the video bundle becomes available. ☀️ Sunny weather! Perfect to take some pictures with Women in Tech SEO banners highlighting their values, such as being helpful and kind. 🛼 Rollerskating & lunch & evening drinks with SEO Brein community 👩💻 Women in Tech SEO drinks with an awesome group photo and kept bumping in to lots of you all the time 🧉 Impressive Harry Potter themed cocktails with some of the Neurodivergents In SEO crew 🥘 The SEO Mindset Podcast live with pizza, fancy Asian dinner thanks to Semrush and Italian food with 14 people squeezed around a small table. 🧇 Handed out lots of stroopwafels to non-Dutchies 🧸 Lots of swag, such as teddy bears for my kids, a nice hoodie, Japanese Google-themed shirt and much more Glad to be back home later today with my family though… Thanks Kelvin Newman and crew for organizing another great edition of BrightonSEO. Booked my ticket for April 2025, who of you will I see you there (again)?

Finally getting around to reflecting on #brightonSEO from last week. I had an absolute blast with the Neurodivergents In SEO gang! From making our community stand looking a little but more professional than April with a lovely pop up banner, to handing out more Pokémon stickers, and generally just having a really good laugh with Jack Chambers-Ward Alan Presch Iva J and Emina Demiri It was also great to meet so many other people (sorry if I've missed you off) from Tina Reis Begum Kaya Milica Kovacevic Roxana Stingu Linda Hogenes Hellen Benavides Craig Taylor Sebastian Dziubek. Then there were all the brilliant talks, too many to mention, but a special shout out to Katie Thompson for their master class for freelancers, I got so many takeaways from that, so thank you! Can't wait for next April, and I've now got the conference bug again, so where else should I be going? 😁

Last week was a fantastic brightonSEO! Key highlights you never asked to hear about? #SEOMindset hosted by the fantastic Tazmin Suleman, Jack Chambers-Ward & Sarah McDowell Hanging with the Neurodivergents In SEO folks and all the people we met such as: Andy Frobisher, Iva J, Emina Demiri, Linda Hogenes Friendly new faces I had the pleasure of meeting: Mike O'Flynn, Mauro Cattaneo, Marco Giordano, Milica Kovacevic Insightful talks from some of NDinSEOs finest like Tina Reis, 🌈 Petra Kis-Herczegh, Tereza Litsa Hassan Ud-deen and Ehab A. Big thanks to our evidently super famous keynote for letting me crash her DACH meetup Dani Leitner Dragon Metrics folks for hosting :) Always a pleasure to hang with Richard Mabey and Simon Lesser I have a million people to thank and tag, but more importantly it's #WorldMentalHealthDay (for the next hour or two) Living/working/socialising online is draining as balls, and with the pressures of freelancing and trying to keep money flowing, burnout and bad energy are always inevitable. Remember there's always support available. No matter where you are in the world you are, your language, timezone, religion, or identity - there are fantastic companies like BetterHelp when things get too much. Admitting you need help is the biggest battle, it gets easier from there. P.S Sorry if I forgot you :) no offense meant :)

We've teamed up with the International Search Summit (Webcertain) to create a speaker mentorship programme to help get neurodivergent speakers on stage more! 🙌 What does this mean? We're looking for mentees, who are people who'd like to start speaking at conferences but lack the confidence, skills, and support to make it happen. This is why we're looking for mentors too, who are experienced speakers, who can help you. Why ISS? Kirstie Cartledge and Carmen Jimenez Aragones from the ISS are really passionate about trying to help more ND folk speaking not just at their event but in general. They'll be running a pitching masterclass for everyone on the programme and we're in the process of organizing a Q&A session at their event where people on the programme can ask 2 of the speakers for advice and any questions they might have. How will it work? Typical us, we've ADHD'd this a little bit, so we're opening applications now which will run until Monday 9th September. Over the next 3 weeks, we'll be ramping up the training, materials, and mentoring sessions so that you will be ready to apply to speak at brightonSEO in October. Sources inside bSEO have told us the best time to pitch is during the event or the day after, so as the event is 3/4 October this year we need to be ready for then. To Apply If you wish to apply as a speaker or mentor, fill in the form here: https://lnkd.in/enAE8Brv We will then go through and match people and let you know next week who you've been matched with. During this week we'll also start prepping resources and a bit of a curriculum. Cost 0 - as with all of our community initiatives it's free
We're proud and excited to be a community partner for Webcertain's #IntSS again this year! We can't wait to see you in Barcelona on 14 November and especially can't wait to see our talented members speaking! Sarah Chaya Presch, Natalia Witczyk and Sara Fernández Carmona to name just a few. And quite a lot more of us will be there in attendance too!
Andy Frobisher, wanna be our official meme manager? What a gem 😂
