Reflecting on my #BrightonSEO experience from last week there were a couple of talks that really resonated with me. I was impressed with Sarah Chaya Presch who was on the main stage on Friday. Her talk was on confirmation bias, which was incredibly eye-opening. I'll explain why 👇 It's easy for people to get the answer to a question to confirm their own bias. Even if that answer adds to miss-information online. Sarah even showed examples of how the same piece of content gave two contradictory answers on whether sugar causes ADHD. Google will serve content for the question even if that will lead to diss-information, which could have long-term negative effects. It's made me realise how important our roles are as SEOs and content writers to help remove diss-information across the internet. We're just as responsible as Google in my opinion in making sure our content is factual, accurate, and fact checked by real experts. Don't just write the same content and the same answers as your competitors, as you could be unintentionally adding to miss-information and someone else's confirmation bias. I hosted a 2-hour 'Training by Doing' session yesterday evening with a US web design agency via Zoom. Once I quickly understood where they are now and where they would like to get to when it comes to integrating SEO into their agency... I got them to share their screen, logged into one of their clients sites, and I talked them through making SEO tweaks/improvements live on the fly whilst explaining how to spot impactful opportunities, and talking through the why. It makes a massive difference than me just talking through a set of slides. Being hands-on doing the doing whist learning is so impactful. 🔍 I talked about the Digital Services Act Transparency Report for April 2024 when it was published but I was recently asked again about data relating to LinkedIn usage in Europe. LinkedIn bury this disclosure a bit in their help database but here it is should you wish to see the fine detail. One of the key facets of search in AI Overviews and regular SERPs: more personalisation. I'm seeing more and more of these 'You visit often' labels on Google Search Results in the UK. - Purpose: Highlights websites frequently visited by users. - Benefit: Makes it easier for users to find their preferred sites quickly. - Rollout: Began in December 2023 in the US, but now in the UK? - Goal: Enhances personalised search experience by prioritising frequently visited sites in search snippets.

This is how I beat UK government , Go.Compare, and Moneysupermarket Group and made £10K with ONE page. Ever feel like you're shouting into the void, pouring countless hours into content that never sees the light of day? → It's frustrating, demoralising, and downright exhausting. I was there too. I tapped into a niche that the big players overlooked. → They focus on broad keywords, but I zeroed in on specific, high-intent search terms. → I addressed the exact pain points people were searching for but couldn't find answers to. → I acquired high quality contextual backlinks over 50 DA. The result? - Skyrocketing up the search rankings. - Organic traffic flooding in. - Sales boosting by £10,000 in a matter of weeks. But here's the thing: → Most businesses ignore the power of targeted SEO. → They think competing with industry giants is futile. → They settle for crumbs when they could have the whole cake. Don't make that mistake. Every day you delay is another day lost to competitors. -Those potential customers are out there, searching for solutions you can provide. - If they don't find you, they'll find someone else. This is your opportunity to level the playing field. - You don't need a massive budget. - You don't need to be a household name. - You just need the right strategy. If I can beat the big players with one page, so can you.

Digital Marketers in the UK: "personalisation and UX are really, really, super-duper important" Also ... Digital Marketers in the UK*: "what is your location: city, state, country (with a Zip Code lookup-tool to boot!)" * - for clarity: this was spotted on a website based in the UK and with a purely regional target audience (Norfolk to be precise - so not only a very poorly executed UX, but also entirely superfluous!) This gap between the strategic direction and the tactical delivery of digital products (website, apps etc) is shockingly common, and it's where you need a decent Digital Product Owner to oversee all of the elements.

Me, myself, and I have been working on some exciting projects lately, but I’ve realised there’s a “what do you actually do, Konrad?” knowledge gap that needs addressing. Here’s a list of what I currently do: • Provide SEO consultancy for medium to large enterprises, acting as a fractional Head of SEO. • Offer tailored training and education courses to smaller marketing teams, while streamlining workflows for SEO agencies through automation. • Manage a newsletter connecting nearly 2,000 search marketers, enabling businesses to advertise to a niche audience. • Operate 18 websites for SEO experiments, focusing on algorithm recovery and niche site optimisation to refine strategies. • Speak at conferences, collaborate with academic institutions, and partner with the “digital industry” professionals. As cool as it sounds, I specialise in doing the work a typical company might not have the time or expert resources to handle. I purposely put a few hours each day away to educate myself about what I do.

I'm pretty good at blogging, and I'm quite skilled at research too. It's not just about finding keywords; I also look into niche topics and what my competitors are up to. My website was almost seven months old, and it was getting nearly 150,000 to 300,000 visitors, mainly from India and Indonesia. I sold it for $1200, and I was making between $70 to $120 each month from AdSense. It was all about APKs. When I sold the website, I made sure to sell it with a proper strategy. If the new owner decides to change the strategy or doesn't implement it correctly, they might end up losing out.
