🚀Eines meiner absoluten Highlights in 2024 – ein Tag, der für mich den Unterschied gemacht hat. Im Rahmen von Make The Difference feiern wir bei Mars kreative Ideen und innovative Projekte von Kolleginnen und Kollegen, die einen echten Unterschied gemacht haben. Letzte Woche Dienstag hat das lokale Finale dieses Programms an unserem Verdener Standort stattgefunden – ein unvergesslicher Tag voller Energie und großartiger Momente, den ich gemeinsam mit Johanna Müller, Sarah H. und Bea Kapic organisieren durfte. Den Galaabend zu moderieren, war definitiv mein persönliches Highlight (und ziemlich aufregend!). Danke, Catarina Neumann, dass du von Anfang an *zero doubts* hattest und mir damit Rückenwind gegeben hast. 🙌 Ein weiteres Highlight: Mein Kollege Andre Büge und ich waren für die PEDIGREE® Paw Parade nominiert – eine Herzensinitiative, die Tierheimhunden hilft, ein liebevolles Zuhause zu finden. 🐶❤️ Danke an alle, die diesen Tag so besonders gemacht haben, und herzlichen Glückwunsch an alle Nominierten und Gewinner*innen! Ihr habt gezeigt, welches Potenzial in großartigen Ideen und echter Leidenschaft steckt. To celebrate #InternationalVolunteerDay, we’re excited to share a few assignments our Associates spent their time volunteering at this year. We believe that, together, we can make a tangible difference in the world. That’s why 15 years ago, we created a volunteer program, the Mars Ambassador Program (MAP) to harness the power of our global Mars community to drive positive change. A few highlights from 2024: 🌊 Mars Ambassadors visited Maine to address the marine debris crisis in the Gulf of Maine. Working alongside the Rozalia Project aboard their research sailing vessel, American Promise, Ambassadors engaged in large-scale debris recovery efforts across remote islands along Maine's rugged coast. Through hands-on cleanup and data collection, Ambassadors helped with the removal of derelict fishing gear and other marine litter while also analyzing trends to inform prevention strategies. 🍚 Mars Ambassadors focused on empowering young female farmers. As part of our commitment to sustainable development, the Ambassadors conducted comprehensive research, exploring Mars programs worldwide to identify strategies to bolster the role of young female farmers. This assignment helped to amplify the voices and contributions of young female farmers in Thailand's rice regions, addressing critical areas such as access to finance, land rights, and work-life balance.
