Our Global CMO Matthew Graham sat down with Rachel Tipograph and Sarah Hofstetter for the BRAVE COMMERCE Podcast. They cover everything from our new innovations such as Ben’s Original ready meals with big, bold flavours, to the rise of #foodtiktok and how we’re adopting a human-to-human approach in our brand communication, and the uniqueness of our agency model that we’ve called 'The Kitchen'. The conversation touches on the way food is changing and the importance of playing to local nuance with local flavours, but that we also recognise that there are common meals eaten around the world that will continue to stand the test of time. It’s a great listen! You can check it out here - https://apple.co/4fBa50Y #BetterFoodTodayABetterWorldTomorrow #BraveCommerce #proudlyMars

Great to see our Global VP of Supply Chain, Dale Creaser, take to the stage at The Business Show earlier this week. Dale shared his valuable insights on the key ingredients needed as small businesses scale – the importance of evolving your supply chain, strong procurement expertise, and embedding sustainability capabilities. #SupplyChain #Sustainability #TheBusinessShow #proudlyMars #BetterFoodTodayABetterWorldTomorrow
It was great to join some impressive small business owners at The Business Show on Wednesday. I had the pleasure of sharing my thoughts on how small businesses can drive sustainable, long-term growth – a path that’s as exciting as it is challenging! We looked at some of the key ingredients needed as small businesses scale – the need for new processes and skills including the importance of evolving your supply chain, strong procurement expertise, and embedding sustainability capabilities. We also looked at the delicate balance to strike when integrating two businesses - a need to balance cultures, nurture your talent, and have clear expectations from day one. Ultimately, it’s the people within a business who make growth possible. To anyone navigating this path, I encourage you to foster a culture of humility, curiosity and adaptability - these qualities are the foundations of long-term success. A big thank you to The Business Show for having me and to everyone who joined the session, and for your brilliant questions.

We attended The Food and Drink Federation's #InnovationForHealthierDiets parliamentary tasting event on Monday 11 November, showcasing our Ben's Original Lunch Bowl innovation - a healthy range of tasty grain and vegetable bowls. Containing no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, the range contains eight different grains and products that are high in fibre and a source of protein. The event highlighted the positive steps food manufacturers are taking to support healthier diets, with samples for attendees to try. It was great to have conversations with political and health stakeholders around the complexities involved in the healthier product innovation journey, including the steps involved to get this product on shelves. #proudlymars #betterfoodtodaybetterworldtomorrow #InnovationForHealthierDiets

We believe providing better food today, will build a better world tomorrow 🌎 Today, we’re announcing a trial of our new paper-based MasterFoods Recyclable Squeeze-On Tomato Sauce packs in Australia. Over the last five years of research and development, we’ve invested $3m (AUD) to find a recyclable solution that still allows tomato sauce lovers to be able to hold a pie in one hand, and their sauce in the other. The new packs are 58% less plastic than the original, and can be processed via kerbside recycling. This is an exciting milestone towards our Sustainable in a Generation Plan as we work towards our vision for a circular economy. #BetterFoodTodayABetterWorldTomorrow #proudlyMars #SustainableInAGenerationPlan #MakingRecyclingEasySqueezy

This World Sustainability Day, we take a look at our work with farmers to implement climate-smart agriculture practices around the world 🌎 Across Mars, we have set ambitious climate goals including achieving net zero emissions by 2050. To contribute towards these goals in our segment, we’re working to transform the rice supply chain of our brands like Ben’s Original 🍚 By implementing climate-smart agriculture practices, we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and water use, while protecting rice yields for our farmers🌾 We’re proud of our progress to date and the 2,000 Associates in Mars Food & Nutrition who make this work possible. Our Global Vice President of Corporate Affairs Emma Reynolds joined Peter Miller from Leading Harvest at Reuters Events Transform Food and Agriculture USA this week. They discussed the importance of long-term partnerships between food businesses and farmers when it comes to driving sustainable practices across the sector. At Mars Food & Nutrition, we’re working with rice farmers across the world to implement climate-smart agriculture practices. As Emma said, “The challenge of feeding 10 billion people by 2050 sustainably is too big for any of us to tackle alone. The only way to drive change is to do it together.” #ProudlyMars #BetterFoodTodayABetterWorldTomorrow #Agriculture #TransformFood #Sustainability
This week I had the pleasure of joining Peter Miller from Leading Harvest in conversation at Reuters Events Transform Food and Agriculture USA. We discussed what makes collaboration between farmers and food businesses successful. At Mars Food & Nutrition, we are lucky to have long-term partnerships with many farmers around the world. These are crucial in helping us to drive sustainable practices across the food sector, such as climate-smart agriculture. My three takeaways from our session were: • The power of partnerships. The challenge of feeding 10 billion people by 2050 sustainably is too big for any of us to tackle alone. The only way to drive change is to do it together. • Incentivise the action you want to see. We all know the power of incentives in driving behaviour change, from the farmer to the consumer, as well as within business. At Mars, 20% of our overall executive remuneration is attached to our greenhouse gas and packaging goals to ensure accountability and drive progress. • This is a long-term game. Building resilient and sustainable value chains takes time and commitment. As a family-owned business, at Mars we think in generations not quarters. This is really important when it comes to embedding sustainable practices. A huge thank you to Reuters Events for the invitation, to Peter for the engaging conversation, and to everyone who came along. I left Minneapolis inspired by what I heard and having made some great new connections. #ProudlyMars #BetterFoodTodayABetterWorldTomorrow #Agriculture #TransformFood #Sustainability
