To begin to help address an issue as big globally as pet homelessness, you first need to understand it.    Reflecting on the past year, we are proud that in 2024 we took a big step forward by launching the State of Pet Homelessness Project - the largest-ever study into pet homelessness. The results were both eye-opening and heartbreaking: our data from across 20 markets showed that 1 in 3 pets are homeless. The report highlighted the scale of the issue and showed us that real, lasting change requires all of us working together to address three key challenges: preventing unwanted pets, ensuring sustained care, and keeping pets in homes.     Looking forward to the new year, we’ll continue to collaborate to turn these insights into action - through impactful partnerships, supporting community initiatives, and advocating for pet friendly policies.
