Happy Holidays from Happy Egg - North!🎄 Today, we gathered to celebrate all we've accomplished in 2024; including our merger with Happy Egg. Without our family farms and this hardworking group at the plant, we could not deliver humane eggs to retailers nationwide. We have a lot to be thankful for and to celebrate. 💪 Here's to Cracking Open (even more) Happy in 2025! 🍳🧡

Leading the humane race putting the welfare of chickens, people, and planet first.
About us
Transforming the egg case with ethical eggs for the Humane Race, Egg Innovations provides 100% Free Range and Pasture Raised eggs. Before cage free, before free range; Egg Innovations was creating the premium egg category to transform chicken welfare, elevating hen care and egg quality. Egg Innovations’ farming roots date back over 100 years, to the Brunnquell homestead in Port Washington, WI. As a third-generation farmer, John Brunnquell, CEO and President of Egg Innovations, grew up in the egg business. Our founder has earned his Ph.D. by studying and understanding the natural behaviors of hens. With these insights, Egg Innovations' priority is the health and wellness of the chickens to farm in a way that lets chickens be chickens. That commitment continues as Egg Innovations is understanding the needs and wants of consumers and striving to meet their growing needs. With a focus on the welfare of chickens, people, and the planet; Egg Innovations is working to rejuvenate the Earth, restore the soil, and improve the ecosystem of the planet through sustainable farming practices. With the growing concern around climate impact, Egg Innovations is committed to be the sustainable solution through innovation in the egg case. We are proud to be the leader in regenerative egg farming and are on a mission to help our chickens, people and planet lead healthier lives.

Very proud of our family farms' regenerative farming journey!
Recent consumer studies find that 74% of shoppers are interested in buying regeneratively raised food and the demand is growing. As a leader in sustainability, Egg Innovations is committed to certifications that prove our commitment to regenerative farming efforts on our family farms across the Midwest. We are very proud to have our first two farmers receive Tier 2 status with Regenified™. A huge thank you to our operations team, led by Brian Klepke, for all of the hard work to achieve this milestone.

A Gold, the highest level rating, was awarded to Whole Foods Market Pasture-Raised Large Brown Eggs. You can see their listing under food in the dairy/eggs category at https://lnkd.in/gfMdvftB. A great summary from our team member Cameron Barrett on the differences in eggs.
Have you ever been confused about the differences between Cage-Free, Free Range and Pasture-Raised eggs? 🤔 Cage-Free just means that the chickens are not enclosed in a small cage, but still confined. Free Range chickens have access to the outdoors with at least 10 acres of roamable land to explore and graze! Pasture-Raised chickens have access to the outdoors with at least 50 acres of pasture to forage and use as their buffet! 😋 We are proud to give hens the best quality of life on our Free Range and Pasture-Raised farms, just as nature intended! When you buy our Helpful Hens & Blue Sky Family Farms eggs, you can remember the video below and how your eggs come from the happiest hens outdoors! 🍳 #healthychoices #eggs #chickens #freerange #pastureraised #regenerative #helpfulhens #blueskyfamilyfarms

Thank you ASPCA for sharing the progress we are making.
Big news in the egg industry: We’re seeing positive signs that the industry is moving away from the practice of male chick culling, as two companies have recently announced their intention to adopt in-ovo sexing technology: Egg Innovations and Kipster. Market research by the think tank Innovate Animal Ag shows that while only about one in ten Americans are aware that male chicks are a discarded byproduct of the U.S. egg industry, once they learn about this, 73% report wanting to find an alternative. In-ovo sexing, currently used in Europe, could revolutionize one of the main welfare issues in the U.S. egg industry, and contribute to ending the practice of male chick culling altogether. Learn more about the innovative solution of in-ovo sexing technology in our latest blog post: https://lnkd.in/egwg7hJr #NationalEggDay
Why We're Asking Egg Companies to Count Their Chickens Before They Hatch

We are glad to be leading change.
US egg producers, who are not under pressure from government to end the practice of culling day-old male chicks, have been slower than their European counterparts to engage with in ovo sexing technology, with little incentive for companies to invest in solving a problem that most Americans do not know exists. However, things are beginning to change, with two companies - Egg Innovations and Kipster - now committing to implementing technology to help end the practice by determining the sex of chickens before they hatch...
