DataKind and partners created the Data Observation Toolkit (DOT) to ensure frontline health systems have high-quality, trusted, and actionable data—because data-driven decisions depend on data trust. We're honored that Georgetown University's Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation included DOT in their 50 Selected Digital Public Goods (DPGs) in Government Use. This landscape guides governments on leveraging DPGs to enhance public services and citizen engagement, with findings presented at the OpenForum Academy Symposium hosted by the Digital Data Design (D^3) Institute at Harvard (D^3). DataedX Group, alongside DataKind and MGT, sponsored Macaulay Honors College at The City University of New York's inaugural Datathon - hosted in collaboration with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). The Datathon, which spanned a 24-hour period, invited students from Macaulay and other CUNY honors programs to form teams of four people to analyze MTA public datasets and offer solutions to real challenges for the city’s public transportation system. Attendees of the Datathon also participated in keynote sessions and workshops. Projects were evaluated by judges at the end of the event and prizes were awarded to winning teams.
