Cultivating equitable, inclusive communities by advancing housing solutions that last for generations.
About us
Grounded Solutions Network is a national nonprofit membership organization of community land trusts, municipal housing programs, and nonprofits that support housing with lasting affordability. Our mission is to cultivate communities — equitable, inclusive and rich in opportunity — by advancing affordable housing solutions that last for generations. We promote housing solutions that will stay affordable for generations so communities can stabilize and strengthen their foundation, for good. We connect national and local expertise; bringing together the networks, knowledge and support needed to build inclusive communities. Grounded Solutions Network champions evidence-based policies and strategies that work. We help our members, partners and elected officials use them to establish inclusive communities that have diverse housing options for a variety of incomes, offering choice and opportunity for all residents – both today and for future generations.

Grounded Solutions Network applauds U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) for introducing legislation today to fund a grant program that would help develop and expand community land trusts (CLTs). “Through the bill’s focus on CLTs that are committed to stable housing for unhoused community members, the proposed program would strengthen local housing organizations in their missions to advance lasting and affordable homeownership for low- and moderate-income families. We look forward to working with the Senator to move this important bill forward,” said Doug Ryan, Grounded Solutions Network’s Vice President of Housing Policy, in a press release issued by the Senator’s office today. Thank you (NEHI) North East Housing Initiative for sharing this informative video in which Grounded Solutions Network’s Senior Principal of Innovative Finance, Alex Cabral, discusses our shared goal of expanding homeownership with lasting affordability to help close the racial homeownership and wealth gaps.
We're so grateful to our sponsor and host committee member, Grounded Solutions Network, for advancing the NEHI mission of creating lasting, equitable, affordable housing opportunities. 𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙞𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨: Homeownership is key to building generational wealth, yet the average white family holds 7x the wealth of the average Black family. This disparity stems from systemic barriers that have historically excluded families of color from owning homes. Grounded Solutions is changing that by creating affordable homes that last for generations, helping families build stability and wealth while staying in their communities. Thank you for your impactful work!
