𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: UK, Hungary 𝐇𝐲𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝: Two days a week in either Budapest, London, Bristol, or Basingstoke, so it’s important you’re able to access those locations. 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬: > Extensive experience with Unreal Engine, ideally Unreal 5 (but not essential), covering both C++ and Blueprints. Experience with other game engines will also be considered. > Proficiency in modern C++11/14/17. > Experience in backend graphics engine development (DirectX/OpenGL/Vulkan). > Expertise in AR/VR technologies. 💥 Great Opportunity in the West Midlands💥 Job Specification: Technical Estimator Position & Authority In this role, you will report directly to the Technical Sales Manager. You will be required to frequently interact with other departments, including sales, production, expediting, subcontractors, and quality personnel. You will have the authority to question any instruction you believe to be incorrect and raise your concern with any of these departments. General Duties: Evaluate Customer Specifications: Analyse customer specifications and requirements to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates. Job Estimation: Estimate customer jobs, including bills of material and the optimal manufacturing route. This may include sourcing components from alternative suppliers. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as the sales team to ensure all aspects of enquiries are considered during the estimation process. Estimating Enquiries: Handle estimating enquiries for the Sales Department. Material Purchasing: Purchase materials for quotations created by you or your colleagues. Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyse data, read drawings, and specifications. Project Management: Manage multiple projects while ensuring all deadlines are met. Order Loading and Job Building: Load orders and build jobs on the computer system using the most efficient methods. Customer Communication: Maintain regular contact with customers via phone and email. Information Sourcing: Source information to assist with providing accurate quotes to customers. Feedback Chasing: Follow up with customers for feedback after quotes are received. General Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Requirements: Experience: Proven experience in special fastener estimating. Technical Skills: Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel and Word. Communication: Excellent communication skills. Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail. Sales Experience: Sales experience is advantageous but not essential; however, experience in a similar administrative role is required. Flexibility: In addition to the general duties outlined, we expect all employees to be flexible in their job functions. Employees may be asked to work in different departments, performing tasks outside their standard job description, provided they have the necessary skills and training. This flexibility allows the business to react to market demands and gives all staff the opportunity to experience various aspects of company operations.

How much is a car? Quoting recruitment services to a new client is difficult. It always feels like I'm deflecting the question when I say "it depends what you're looking for"? I can sense the despair when they feel they aren't getting a straight answer. I don't mean to be 'Billy Big Sales' when I answer their question with a question. I genuinely need some more context than "how much is it to hire an admin person". I want a car. It needs to be a family vehicle, ideally low mileage, a lease will do, preferably grey, heated seats, manual or automatic, and definitely needs a good sound system. I think that will get me a more accurate quote. I know what's essential and what's desirable. Hopefully, then, the car dealer can give me a relevant shortlist of cars to test drive and maybe use for a short time before committing to purchase. Oh, and I want flexible payment terms and a guarantee. Seems good business to me.
