MedTech professionals value company culture highly, and companies seek individuals who are a good fit. However, job adverts and career pages frequently fail to reflect this. Attracting and securing like-minded professionals has many benefits, including employee longevity. Those who stay at companies the longest usually do so because of the people they work with. Emotional connection and positive human interaction are the glue that binds. But how often is company culture pitched when attracting applicants to job vacancies? And how do professionals get a feel for the culture before applying? Job adverts for technical roles, such as regulatory affairs, are often rather dry. They typically feature a brief company introduction followed by a list of role responsibilities and candidate requirements, making them all look the same. Curious readers might visit the company website or social media pages for more information. The problem is that MedTech websites are often geared towards showcasing products, with little focus on people and culture. In my experience, pitching a role based on products attracts professionals interested in the products. Pitching based on salary and responsibilities attracts those who fit the budget and role criteria. So if you wish to attract the best cultural fit, you need to demonstrate this in your job pitches, career pages, employee testimonials, and company culture videos. You can also make the best use of your social media platforms to highlight your company's values, showcase team activities, provide insights into the work environment, and share the success stories of current employees. Incorporating behind-the-scenes content and interviews with leadership can also help prospective candidates get a genuine feel for your company culture. As a recruiter, I understand the pivotal role that company culture plays in attracting and retaining top talent within the MedTech industry. This growth highlights the expanding landscape and increasing investment in this promising treatment. However, the high costs—ranging from hundreds of thousands to millions per patient—pose significant financial challenges. Insurers and government programs often hesitate to cover these expensive treatments, creating barriers for patients and healthcare providers alike. While some U.S. health insurance plans, including major insurers and government programs like Medicare and Medicaid, do cover CAR-T therapy, coverage can vary significantly. The approval process can be stringent, requiring extensive documentation to justify the treatment's necessity. Patients often need to work closely with their healthcare providers and insurance companies to navigate these complexities.
