We’ve all been there 🙌 Unless you are SUPER organised of course. Or you have a well structured document management set up in SharePoint. 🤣 the answer? the Microsoft 365 Homepage Yes I know... super simple but super effective. 1️⃣Sign in and you can instantly view any files you've been working on recently no matter where it's actually saved. 2️⃣ open the file here and continue to work on it or remind yourself where the file is actually saved. 3️⃣ There is even an M365 app which allows you to do the same thing whilst on the go. 💲 Another day, another price increase.. 💲 Microsoft have announced they are standardising their monthly billing structure for some OLS including M365, O365, Dynamics & Power Platform SKUs. 🤷 What does this mean? 🤷 From April 1st, customers who consume these licenses via CSP, MCA-E and Buy Online will see a 5% uplift in price if they want to continue with monthly billing, or can choose to pay upfront for their annual subscription at their renewal date, and keep their existing pricing. 👀 What else? 👀 Copilot has been thrown into the mix, and billing options will be standardised in the same way, allowing you to be invoiced monthly for an annual term commitment. Teams Phone pricing is increasing, along with an additional 5% uplift in costs if you're being billed monthly. PowerBI SKUs are going up too. After April 1st, all new and renewing licenses will be affected by a fairly significant price increase. Very informative presentation on the roll out and evolution of Microsoft Places following the public preview recently. Some interesting functionality to come which will help team working and collaboration, supporting the RTO agenda. Key questions still remain open: Licencing model— will large clients be willing to pay the price of Teams premium when a lot of Teams functionality is still not being used? How will Places deal with the role of the team leader to arrange the work and space plan for staff visiting the office? When will it be possible to start integrating between the incumbent space and facilities booking platform and Places? If Places is to support collaboration how can staff's real time location be mapped into the ecosystem to address location tracking and real time meeting arrangement? While the 365 route is a given, what about clients who choose to stay on prem? Believe we are at the start of an exciting journey with many topics at the detailed level still to be addressed! That's the difference between a regular resource and an experienced resource. I always say this about the value a senior person brings Example on sales order for a retail company A regular resource will say "so we have one user story - create a sales order. let me show you how to create and process a sales order. Whatever is different, we can figure out later on." An experienced resource will say "so we have multiple user stories. "create a sales order with no payment for wholesale, create a cash and carry sales order for retail, create a Will-call sales order with payment for retail.. also downstream processes if an order is a vendor consigment " Darren Locking your sports analogy is better :D

Us: we won’t know until we check the number of files, file types, how they need to be moved , any archiving policy and the framework of where they will be moved too. We also need to discuss future proofing your system should you wish to adopt other m365 apps going forward which will use this data. Them: another company “like you” can do it for 800 Me: there is no way you should be migrating that amount of data into that proposed set up and I’d be very concerned. We want to do this right. Them: price is a factor so we are going with the other company. May 2024 - 10 months later Them: Hi Sheryl we spoke last year about our data migration. We discovered some of our data was lost during the move as it wasn’t backed up, and our system is now incredibly slow to the point we can’t use it. We have 200000 files in one document library 😲 Can you help us please..
