    Leading Microsoft Research outreach efforts directed particularly at engaging women in computer science.

    Efforts include leading focus groups in Seattle area middle schools to learn more about how to engage girls in computer science and technology at an earlier age, working with a Microsoft Researcher to organize the International Women's Hack-a-thon, and launching a social media campaign to foster interest for women in computer science.

    Volunteer in helping plan and organize the Annual Awards for Aspirations in Computing through the NCWIT and University of Washington Computer Science & Engineering Department. Additionally, served on the Application Review Board in determining the 2014 winners.

    This cause recognizes and honors young women at the high school level for their computing-related achievements and interests.
