We’re thrilled to celebrate the completion of Phase One of our Ebury Bridge regeneration scheme 👏 This milestone delivers 226 new homes: 16 leaseholds, 110 for market sale, and 100 high-quality council homes - the largest delivery of new council housing in South Westminster in 50 years! Over the coming weeks, 90 families will move into spacious, sustainable homes with generous storage, private balconies and a rooftop garden with stunning views of Westminster views. This project will deliver 781 homes in total, with over half designated as council homes for social rent, delivering on our Fairer Housing commitments. ubitricity to take control of 1,250 EV charge points across Westminster 🔋🔌   Westminster City Council have appointed ubitricity to maintain 1,250 chargepoints across the borough.   Awarded via a public procurement exercise and building on from a previous 12 month contract with Westminster, this fantastic win will enable ubitricity to further support Westminster and their residents for a minimum of 3 years.    Our tender was successful through ubitricity’s commitments around network availability, data consolidation, customer service, continual improvement and fair and equitable tariff setting.   After meeting with Westminster City Council last week, ubitricity’s CEO, Daniel Kunkel commented: “Westminster is a leading council in providing convenient EV charging to their residents. We’ve been working with Westminster since 2017, overseeing the delivery of Westminster’s network of EV charge points under the GULCS scheme, and we are thrilled to now also provide maintenance and continuity of service to the borough and its EV users”   Further, Councilor Paul Dimoldenberg , member for City Management and Air Quality commented: “We’re incredibly proud to continue to host the UK’s biggest and best network of nearly 2,500 EV charging stations that make a fantastic difference in helping our residents and businesses to keep the air clean, transport sustainable and contribute to the city’s 2040 net zero targets.”

Freezing temperatures pose an extra risk to those sleeping rough. To support the homeless in London during the winter we are increasing our rough sleeping and homelessness provision, this includes: 📍 158 additional beds. 📍 Expansion of our “No Night Out” prevention programme to break the cycle of homelessness. 📍 Supporting Crisis at Christmas to offer a day centre over the holiday period. 📍 Partnerships with local faith and voluntary organisations to offer accommodation and other support, such as with Look Ahead Care and Support, The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields, Homeless Link and The Passage. 📍As ever, council outreach teams will be out around the clock ready to help. The St James’s Neighbourhood Plan 2022-2040 is currently out for public comment. The plan covers matters such as character and design, land use, public spaces and sustainability, and once adopted will be used to assess planning applications in the St James’s Neighbourhood Area. We’re improving accessibility for visitors and residents across the city. In Soho we’ve dropped kerbs and added trial zebra crossings to improve pedestrian safety and allow everyone in Westminster to get around more easily.
