Teesside Hospice warmly welcomes the funding announcement from the government this week. We are reassured and really value and appreciate the commitment shown to the hospice sector at the end of what has been a tough year here at Teesside Hospice and for all hospices. We still have some questions about how this will impact us directly and in the long term but we do hope it will go some way to allow us to concentrate on what we do best – provide outstanding specialist care to our patients and their families at the time they need us most. We’d also like to take this opportunity to say thank you to our community for your continued support (past, present and future), we’ve been caring for more people than ever before this year and we simply cannot and will not be able to provide or continue our services without you. https://lnkd.in/dWjzNExR

We're changing lives across Teesside by supporting people and families who've been affected by terminal illness.
About us
Teesside Hospice offers palliative care for people over the age of 18 who are living with a life-limiting illness when a cure is no longer possible. Our care is provided 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year and reaches thousands of local people. We know how challenging dealing with a life limiting illness can be. Our expert medical, nursing and allied health professional team offer pain and symptom control, psychological support as well as end of life care. Each year it costs £2.8 million to provide our care. Grants and NHS funding cover around a third of this cost, which means we need to raise £6,000 each and every day of the year to keep our services running. Your valued support will help us ensure the future of your local hospice.

Teesside Hospice’s Treecycle campaign is in full swing, and we’ve already had a HUGE number of trees registered! 🎄 To make sure we can collect our 3,000 tree target this year, we’re looking for businesses or individuals who can donate a van or flatbed truck to help with the collection. 🙏 We’re also on the lookout for volunteers to head out in the vans and collect the trees which will be recycled. The collection dates are the 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th January 2025. It’s going to be a tree-mendous time, and we’d love YOU to be part of it! Let’s make this Treecycle the best one yet! 🌟 Please contact [email protected] for more details!

Thank you, Ramsdens! 💜 At Teesside Hospice, we’re filled with gratitude this festive season and want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ramsdens Financial Limited for their incredible support over the years. Recently, Ramsdens renewed their corporate partnership with us, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everything they do to help us provide vital care to our patients and community. Their support goes far beyond financial contribution. From in-house fundraising to donating gifts for raffles and auctions, Ramsdens is always ready to lend a helping hand. This year, they went above and beyond by being the headline sponsor of our inaugural Rallye Du Soleil and our golf day, while also supplying volunteers for numerous events. As ✨Kirsteen Cudworth✨ Head of Marketing at Ramsdens shared: “Ramsdens have supported the Hospice for a number of years, and we’ve seen firsthand the dedication of the Hospice team. The care they provide to those with terminal illnesses and the support they offer to families is extraordinary. We’re proud to be a corporate partner and we encourage other local businesses to get involved in making a difference for people on Teesside.” From all at Teesside Hospice - thank you Ramsdens for your generosity and kindness. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas! 💜 Pic shows Kirsteen Cudworth accepting Ramsdens Corporate Partner award from Hospice CEO Mike Thornicroft . Pic credit: doug moody
