🏆🎉 Double Award Win for Mace at Building Awards 2024 🏆🎉 Big success for Mace last night, as we picked up two awards at the 30th Building Magazine Awards ceremony. 🏆 We were pleased to have successfully retained our title as Major Contractor of the Year (over £500m) for another year. 🏆 The UCL Marshgate building, which we completed in 2023, was recognised as Building Magazine Project of the Year. The judges recognised the building's ‘excellent use of materials, sustainability focus, and budget-conscious completion’. These awards would not have been won without the hard work and dedication of our teams, as well as the commitment and collaborative relationship we have with our clients, supply chain, and partners. Congratulations to all involved 👏🎉 Find out more: https://lnkd.in/d2QrDyQY #MaceConstruct #BuildingAwards2024 #ContractorOfTheYear #ProjectOfTheYear

Building with nature in mind 🏞️🥬 Protecting our shared natural resources and habitats is a significant challenge for the built environment. We have a great opportunity to embed better ecological practices onto projects that can lead to positive impacts for communities and the planet. Last week, Mace colleagues Luisa Ramos Steiner, Alex Meek, Maria Coronado Mendoza and Oliver Conde travelled to Colombia to join Arup at the COP16 Biodiversity conference. Together, they discussed the intersection of circularity and biodiversity, focusing on how the Rail sector can prioritise ecological protection.
