🎄 All We Want for Christmas Is a Partner in Red 🎅 This festive season, London Sport would love a kit sponsor to bring Christmas cheer to our hardworking team of 60. They’re on the ground every day, brightening lives and breaking down barriers to help Londoners live healthier, happier lives. While some Londoners are enjoying 12 extra years of good health, others aren’t as fortunate. We’re determined to close that gap—and we need your support to make it happen. We are looking for a kit sponsor who supports our mission, is passionate about tackling inequality and can make us look the part by providing various apparel! 🎁 Ready to help us tackle inequality and spread the spirit of good health? Email [email protected] before 24 January 2025 to ask questions or submit an expression of interest. #LondonSport #ChristmasWish #KitSponsorship #LetsMoveLondon #ActiveCommunities #TackleInequality #Red Emily Robinson Tanya Rabin Jennie Rivett

In our latest blog in the follow-up series from Active LDN 2024, London Sport’s Strategic Lead for Active Environments, Christopher Donkin, shared the key insights on our breakout session that focused on using data to reimagine public spaces as inclusive, vibrant hubs of activity🏆 Key takeaways from the session emphasised that data, while critical, is not a standalone solution - it must be interpreted thoughtfully and combined with creativity, collaboration, and adaptability. A multifaceted approach to data collection, bridging gaps through cross-sector partnerships, and staying responsive to evolving needs were highlighted as essential strategies. By aligning data insights with community engagement and innovative design, London can create healthier spaces that empower all residents to lead active lives. Sport England published the latest Active Lives Children and Young People Survey this morning, painting a picture of youth physical activity levels across the country, with specific insights for London 🏃♂️🏃♀️ Activity levels for children and young people have remained stable, but the data shows persistent inequalities prevent many young Londoners from reaping the benefits of physical activity. Tim Copley, Director of Physical Activity & Sport Development at London Sport said: “The latest Active Lives Survey highlights both the challenges and opportunities we face in supporting children and young people to lead more active lives. While it’s encouraging to see activity levels remain stable and some progress in reducing inactivity, the data shows persistent inequalities that prevent many young Londoners from reaping the benefits of physical activity. The findings reinforce the urgency of London Sport’s mission: to help inactive Londoners in deprived communities to move more. Significant and sustained action is needed to ensure that every young person in London can enjoy the physical, mental, and social benefits of an active lifestyle. Together, we can build a healthier, happier and more active city for the next generation”. Read more here ⬇⬇⬇ https://lnkd.in/esx5MhQJ
