Harpa was founded in 2020 by former lawyers that wanted to provide full-service legal marketing services with a boutique approach. In just 3 years, it has become one of the largest and most qualified legal marketing agencies in the world, with a proven track record assisting law firms internationally with legal marketing, legal directories, legal design and business development. Our team of 45+ highly qualified individuals, the majority of which are lawyers-turned-marketeers, makes us particularly apt in understanding the technical aspects of the legal work undertaken by our clients. Furthermore, our in-house experience within law firms, whether as lawyers or as marketing staff, enables us to easily put ourselves in our client’s shoes (as we have worn them before). Collectively, we speak 7 different languages and are located on 3 different continents, allowing us to work seamlessly through different time zones and cultures.

  • Last week, the Legal Marketing Congress Brazil 2024, one of the main legal marketing events in the country, took place in São Paulo. Our partners Marco Guasti and Fernanda Carneiro were present at the event, which aimed to discuss the challenges and trends that will shape the legal market in 2025. During their presentation, they shared their expertise and talked about “Demystifying International Legal Rankings: How they influence business development”. They explained how legal rankings, if they are to be used at all, should always be used in tandem with firms' strategic planning, brand positioning and business development efforts. They should not be seen as not an end in themselves and must serve a higher purpose; if not, they might not be the correct investment for your firm. The congress featured 10 hours of innovative and practical content, with discussions that brought new perspectives on Legal Marketing and Business Development, in an environment that promoted high-level connections, enriching conversations and real opportunities for partnerships. __________ Na semana passada aconteceu o Legal Marketing Congress Brazil 2024, um dos principais eventos de marketing jurídico do país, realizado em São Paulo.   • Fernanda Carneiro is Harpa Marketing’s new CMO and partner. Fernanda’s arrival heralds the integration of her brand management and communication consultancy, FaíscaLab, into Harpa Legal Marketing. Fernanda, who has dedicated 25 years to corporate communication, previously served as Head of Marketing and Business Development at Machado Meyer Advogados and as Head of Brand & Communications at PwC Brazil, having led the rebranding processes of these two major Brazilian organisations. “From the beginning of our conversations, we understood that my areas of expertise and Harpa’s strengths complemented each other perfectly. Together, we can offer even more complete solutions, supporting our clients in their growth plans and reputation building,” explains the agency’s new partner. Also joining the team, as Marketing Manager, is Bruno da Cruz. With more than 15 years of experience, eight of which in legal marketing roles, Bruno has a track record that includes working in law firms of various sizes, structures, and practice areas, such as Machado Meyer, Opice Blum, Gusmão & Labrunie, and Mello Torres, as well as in financial advisory and investment banking firms. Bruno’s in-house experience at multiple high-end firms will help Harpa offer tailor-made services for the diverse range of clients in its Legal Marketing portfolio. With a holistic client-centred approach, he develops solutions to help law firms to strategically impact their clients and target markets. The recent addition of Fernanda and Bruno to Harpa further strengthens the company, following the appointment of François Le Grand as COO and partner earlier this year. Formerly Head of Brazil Research at Chambers and Partners and Leaders League, as well as Senior Marketing & Business Development Manager at Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown, François' arrival in January 2024 symbolized Harpa's willingness to invest in top talent, reflecting the company’s commitment to delivering excellence for its clients.
