Here are the action steps I took to increase my followers on LinkedIn: • Step 1: Choose a specific niche I'd focus on a specific area of expertise, whether it's marketing, sales, tech, or something else • Step 2: Define my content pillars I'd identify 3-5 core topics related to my niche that I'm passionate about and want to be known for. • Step 3: Optimize my profile I'd make sure my LinkedIn profile is complete, up-to-date, and showcases my expertise. • Step 4: Create engaging content I'd focus on creating high-quality, engaging content that adds value to my audience. • Step 5: Engage with others I'd make sure to engage with others on the platform • Step 6: Consistency is key I'd commit to posting high-quality content on a regular basis to keep my audience engaged That's it! Anyone can make a post on LinkedIn But not everyone posts with a clear strategy Not everyone creates the type of content that makes their ideal client go " I want to work with this person" If you feel you've been posting without a strategy on LinkedIn, I've got you Before you upload your next post on LinkedIn, do these things first ↳ Be clear on this; → What services do you want to offer → Who your services are for → How you intend to solve their problem → What topics do you want to be known for ↳ Get to know your target audience on a deeper level Understand their; →fears →frustrations →objections →motivations →desires. Make your videos vertical if you want them to be seen more. The impact of vertical video formats on LinkedIn is HUGE right now. The platform's algorithms really prioritise this style over horizontal video. This shift follows what you see on Instagram and tiktok, if you're producing corporate videos you need to rework your production strategies if you want to boost your reach without paying for ads. So here's what I suggest: 1. Leverage vertical video: ↳ Make sure your viewing experience is optimal, ↳ Tailor content to mobile users, if possible starting at the production stage, ↳ Align with video consumption habits, which leads me to..... 2. Analyze video nuances: ↳ Make sure video length is optimised for retention. Oddly enough, people's attention span is shorter with vertical videos. ↳ Push videos according to different levels of where you want them on your funnel ↳ Build strategies to maintain viewer engagement. 3. Understand algorithm preferences: ↳ Keep in mind how these changes affect content distribution, ↳ Keep a close eye on engagement metrics, ↳ Make sure they align with branding and networking efforts.
