    Rentokil Initial Washroom Hygiene, part of the Rentokil Initial UK family, are on a mission to ensure period dignity for all, and a huge part of this is ensuring everyone has the education needed for comfortable and safe periods. Did you know, shockingly, over three quarters of British women were not taught how to use tampons ahead of starting their first period? To help rectify this 'education gap', we've been working with Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Dr Shazia Malik, securing coverage across the Daily Express, The Sun, the Daily Mirror and the Daily Star.

    Our client Checkatrade set us a mission - to make use of their wealth of data to supercharge the brand’s earned media storytelling. So we did... and created the first ever Home Improvement Index. 🏠 Working alongside Checkatrade’s data whizzes, we combed through 10 million jobs (yes, 10 million!) to produce the most comprehensive index on home improvement tasks taking place across the country. 📒 The index explored everything from seasonal demand, and the cost of jobs and even revealed the country’s most trustworthy tradespeople. ⭐Key findings included:⭐ 🔨 The average cost of building work is up by almost a fifth in Q3 🔨Brits are getting homes winter-ready with decorating, security and interior design jobs on the up 🔨Southend-on-Sea, Redhill and Bournemouth have the highest-rated tradespeople in the UK The first edition of the Index launched with a BANG, nailing over 200 pieces of media coverage!     Did you know that up to 5,000 cigarette butts are dropped down a single drain in Britain every year? With over 1,000,000 drains nationwide, cigarette litter has become a threat to UK waterways, harming wildlife and contaminating water 🦆 Last Thursday, we launched our latest behaviour change campaign for Keep Britain Tidy in partnership with our colleagues at VCCP , changing the name of The White Swan in Twickenham to The Poisoned Swan, to raise awareness of the issue. 🦢 We worked with comedian Johnny Vegas as he had previously been fined by Doncaster Council for dropping his butt down a drain. At the time Johnny was unaware that cigarette butts littered down drains actually end up in waterways, seas and on beaches, and believed he was doing the right thing.  Helping us spread the word that cigarette butts contain over 7,000 different chemicals and are made out of plastic, we got Johnny on BBC breakfast to talk about the campaign, which resulted in over 2,700 butt boxes being ordered. 🌊 As well as several great TV hits, we also secured coverage in the likes of The Sun, Daily Express, Daily Mirror and BBC Online.     Beautiful rugs, a stunning venue and a whole host of celebrity guests & journalist friends resulted in a launch event for the books last week for our wonderful brand new client Ruggable! We started working with Ruggable last month and hit the ground running with preparation for the launch event of their new collection with celebrity designer Matthew Williamson. The team got straight to work on securing the gorgeous Old Sessions House as the venue and ensuring it matched Williamson’s award-winning and unique use of pattern and colour. The event took place last Wednesday with a day of exclusive media 1-1s with top tier targets followed by an evening soiree for 66 media, influencer and celebrity attendees including Alan Carr, Emma Willis & Cat Deeley and - above all - an extremely pleased client! So far, the gorgeous new collection has been picked up by the likes of Mail Online, Good Housekeeping, Ideal Home, House Beautiful & The Standard as well as over 50 pieces of influencer content to date. A massive well done to the Ruggable team here at Good Relations and a special shout out to our new client for such a fun first project to get our teeth into!

    What a night! This week, our wonderful Starling Bank team attended the PRWeek UK Awards, where the multi-award winning Share the Load campaign was Highly Commended in the financial services category. Not only did this campaign make a big impact at the awards, but it also made a big impact in homes across the country - our Share The Load tool allowed couples to track their unpaid labour and have open and honest conversations about fairness in their relationship. Huge thanks to our incredible client Lucy Cafferkey and the whole team for making it possible! 🌟
