In a rapidly evolving landscape where companies face geopolitical volatility, technological advancements, and ever-rising workforce expectations, CEOs are called to navigate transformation with boldness and clarity. Last week, at BCG’s Transformation CEO Forum in Singapore, we brought together 12 CEOs to explore what it takes. I had the privilege of co-hosting the discussion alongside my colleagues Alpesh Shah and Rahul Aggarwal, with topic experts Rajesh Gopinathan, Peter Mumford, Dr Marcus T Richards, Peter Cho and Aparna Kapoor sharing their perspectives. The discussions ranged from crafting a blueprint for transformation that ensures value delivery while reshaping mindsets and behaviors, to building high-performing leadership teams that champion the CEO's vision. We also explored the power of Board-CEO partnerships in driving successful transformations and discussed how to leverage (Gen)AI to scale impact. The biggest takeaway - while transformation begins at the top, its success depends on alignment deep in the organization. CEOs must be relentless in their communication with purposeful, effective storytelling. ‘At the point where you get tired having told your story 105 times, you can start to believe that 10% of the organization has gotten it’, is how one of the CEOs in our group framed their experience. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death for #women in the Asia-Pacific region, home to more than 60 percent of the world’s 8 billion inhabitants. Asia accounted for 60% of all #cardiovascular deaths recorded globally, and cardiovascular mortality is forecast to double by 2050 increasing the cardiovascular burden for the region. In particular in SEA, Cardiovascular diseases remain the #1 cause of death among women in SEA; Stroke (17.71%), Ischemic Heart Disease (IHD) 11.51%, Hypertensive Heart Disease (HHD) 2.84%. While the number of women participating in randomized #clinicaltrials has increased, ethnic and racial minorities continue to be under-represented in research published in peer reviewed medical journals, resulting in less evidence-based clinical care compared to men. Hospital sub-specialization on women’s cardiovascular health is also limited to the most advanced institutions across asia and particularly Southeast Asia, preventing immediate access to platforms to raise awareness among patients and physicians on sex-specific cardiovascular disease symptoms. Excited to share the launch of an extremely important report on cardivascular #inequity for women in the asia pacific region.
