Here's how you can enhance the overall productivity of a programming team through collaboration.
One thing I've found too often is that code reviews are a missed opportunity. Teams simply do a quick scan of the code, or at best try to evaluate how it fits into the overall architecture. I encourage all teams I work in to add some simple steps to the codereview process that make it 10x their output. 1. read the issue or feature request. What were they building? 2. pull the code 3. build the code 4. run the code 5. verify that the change matches the request (yes, developers doing QA) 6. CODE REVIEW When the reviewer gets to the code review they will have a lot of extra context on the problem, and this makes the review so much easier and better.

Here's how you can enhance the overall productivity of a programming team through collaboration.
In my teams I've had great experience fostering this with these simple tools: - one-on-one's - retros - regular checkins / dailies each of these adds a component to the team's relationship that builds up trust over time

Here's how you can enhance the overall productivity of a programming team through collaboration.
Clear goals are important but they need to be paired with the ability to act towards those goals. This is called Agency. A team with goals and no agency will still fall behind and underperform. To foster Agency you'll need to prioritise creating a working environment where individuals feel safe exploring the problem space they are in. This is absolutely necessary for individuals to understand what problems they should be solving in order to achieve the goals of the team.

Project Colmeia (beehive)
This project consisted in the creation of a (HPC high performance computing) super-computer composed by a pool of several ordinary normal personal computers, commonly labeled as a "cluster". The hardware used was donated and considered obsolete for any present day usage. http://www.deei.fct.ualg.pt/nei/colmeia/ [dead link] (2005-2007)

The ability to create software is no longer limited to coders - it’s a skill within reach for everyone. And that's awesome 🚀
