Azar/CBS The Talk co-hosts were all aboard this week, dressing up as characters from The Love Boat to celebrate a reunion for the series. Most of the boat’s crew was in attendance Tuesday, including Gavin MacLeod (the Captain), Bernie Kopell (Dr. Adam Bricker), Ted Lange (Isaac Washington), Fred Grandy (Burl “Gopher” Smith), Lauren Tewes (Cruise Director Julie McCoy) and Jill Whelan (Vicki Stubing). Even Charo, who would often appear on the show as entertainer April Lopez, made a surprise visit. “I didn’t think we’d even get through the pilot, actually,” reminisced Grandy. “Nobody thought it would go beyond that. As Gavin pointed out, the critics hated it – they said it would sink like the Titanic. They only guy who really knew of course, was Aaron Spelling, who really knew how all of you would bond with this show and create the kind of iconic status.” The Love Boat entertained television audiences for nine years, from 1977 to 1986. http://player.ooyala.com/iframe.js#ec=N2b2x1ZzrVoN96l-vP1V4YUMGupOx8Oo&pbid=cd992bf15ed4c7388fa9c725b08dfd4 Close
