Danielle Brooks' 2024 SAG Awards Dress Is Part Gown, Part Tux and All Sass

Danielle Brooks stepped out in a show-stopping ensemble to the 2024 SAG Awards.

The 34-year-old actress arrived in a Christian Siriano design that was part tuxedo, part gown and part purple. The dress half of Brooks' look featured an ombré purple hem, which appeared to be a homage to her film The Color Purple.

Brooks wore open-toe $120 ALDO heels, jewels from Kendra Scott (including a selection of 14K yellow gold rings in white and black diamond and pair of 14K yellow gold pave diamond studs) and some special bling from her husband, Dennis Gelin, Brooks revealed while chatting with Laverne Cox on E!'s red carpet pre-show.

Tonight, Brooks is nominated for outstanding performance by a female actor in a supporting role for her work in The Color Purple, which was produced by Oprah Winfrey. Her role as Sofia in the movie musical has made her an awards season regular this year, and in March, she'll be up for an Oscar for her unforgettable performance.

In January, she reacted to being an EGOT nominee thanks to her best supporting actress Oscar nomination. She was previously nominated at the Emmy Awards in 2021 and 2023, for a Grammy Award in 2017 (which she won!) and a Tony Award in 2016.

When a fan on X, formerly known as Twitter, noted her impressive list of award nominations, Brooks' reshared the post and captioned it, "somebody has caught on" with a winking face emoji.

The highly accomplished actress has been busy promoting The Color Purple and making the rounds on the awards circuit since last October — and through it all, she's shown off her incredible fashion sense. On Oct. 12, she wore a bold purple turtleneck dress with a fun print to honor the movie at the Ghetto Film School fall benefit.

In December, Brooks rocked another purple ensemble at the film's Los Angeles premiere. The star walked the carpet wearing a hooded amethyst dress with a thigh-high slit and silver sandals.

More recently, the Peacemaker actress put her own spin on balletcore at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards. Brooks wowed in a voluminous pink tulle Monsoori gown with black bow accent. The stunning dress allowed the actress to create a perfect red carpet moment as she tossed the tulle in the air to show off its full volume.

The 30th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will stream live on Netflix Saturday, Feb. 24, at 8 p.m. ET, from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
