People Editorial Guidelines Published on August 1, 2024 08:00PM EDT Comments Nessa Barrett proves that she is the ultimate “Passenger Princess” in the music video for the new single from her upcoming second album. The music video premiered on Thursday, Aug. 1 and stars Love Island USA’s Rob Rausch as Barrett’s handsome driver and love interest in the steamy music video. "Passenger Princess” — which was released on July 26 — is the first single from the 21-year-old singer’s second album Aftercare, set to release later this year. The track also marks Barrett’s first release since her 2023 EP Hell Is a Teenage Girl. In the press release for the new track, Barrett explained that "’Passenger Princess' "represents the intense honeymoon phase when you first enter in a new relationship — the mindset where you would do anything for the one you love just to experience the passion of a connection.” The music video opens up to a scene in the women’s bathroom before Barrett comes into frame. She answers the phone and a mysterious voice — likely Rausch, 25 — tells her that "I’m here." The video closes out with Barrett and Rausch hooking up underneath the car they crashed at the end.
