The five-time Grammy-award winner, 43, made a surprise appearance at Carpenter’s Los Angeles concert at the Crypto.com Arena on Friday, Nov. 15 to duet a couple of her hit songs — a few months after the pair sang together for the 25th anniversary celebration of Aguilera’s debut album. Aguilera hit the stage in a black corset and short shorts with sparkly knee-high boots to first perform “Ain’t No Other Man.” As she begins singing, Carpenter can be seen watching from the head of the stage, before joining Aguilera in a duet of the song. "And do you mind if I sing one of my favorite songs in the world with one of my biggest idols, Christina Aguilera?" she continued, as the crowd cheered their approval. Videos shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) showed the performance, for which the pair sat side by side on stage as they harmonized together. Aguilera and Carpenter could be seen sharing a big hug after the performance, with the “Fighter” singer telling the "Espresso" musician, “I love you so much.” Sabrina Carpenter onstage in Houston at Toyota Center as part of her Short n' Sweet Tour. At the time, a proud Aguilera could be seen watching on as Carpenter opened the song, before she took over for the second verse. In an Instagram post on Saturday, Nov. 16, Carpenter reacted to the onstage moment with Aguilera, writing, "LA night 1💋 thank you @xtina for coming out last night, giving everyone (me included) the surprise of our lives, and for being one of the main reasons i love + wanted to make pop music, i adore you to no end!!!!!!"
