After placing second on season 6 of the Peacock hit, Leah tells PEOPLE that Miguel, with whom she was coupled up for the majority of the second half of the season, is the "best person I've ever met in my life" as she shares an update on the status of their relationship. "I think it's on the way," the 24-year-old says about whether she and Miguel, 27, have made things official. "I wouldn’t be worried about us. We’re really locked in." "I was miserable, I was absolutely miserable. And then everything changed and I’m just so lucky," she says. "I don't know what I would have done if he wasn't there." "He is an honest, good man, and I feel very lucky that we're even at the place that we're at. I think that he just gets me so well – like better than anyone ever has." "He is so understanding. He gives me so many perspectives on everything. I think that he taught me so much as well. I think, like, you can literally see the growth of me throughout the villa, and I give a lot of credit to him for that," she continues. "He is, for sure, a big reason for how much I was just growing and changing in the villa, and for the better. Like he is behind it. And I just appreciate him so much." She says they are "not compatible romantically at all," while she and Miguel "fit together like a puzzle piece." Randy Shropshire/Peacock Since leaving the villa last week, Leah and Miguel have been largely spending their time apart, as he lives in London while she lives in L.A., but they'll soon be reunited as the season 6 cast gets together for Peacock's Love Island USA reunion on Monday, Aug. 19 – and Miguel has been showing his love for his girl in other ways in the meantime. "I literally just got off the phone with him right now," Leah says. "He was wishing me good luck."
