The General Hospital cast got into character for the 2024 Halloween episode and shared a sweet nostalgic moment between Kirsten Storms and Lily Fisher. Storms, 40, plays Maxie Jones on the series, while Fisher plays her onscreen daughter, Georgie. “Who doesn't love a reference? Take a closer look at Georgie's Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century costume and try telling us it isn't perfection,” the social media accounts for General Hospital posted across various platforms, including Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter) and Facebook. In one of the photos, Storms stood beside Fisher, who wore a costume replica of Storms’ Disney character, Zenon Kar. The first Zenon film aired on Disney Channel on Jan. 23, 1999 as the fifth-ever Disney Channel Original Movie. PEOPLE Staffers Pick the Best Disney Channel Original Movies Per a synopsis, it was set in 2049 and based on “an inquisitive teenager [who] pries into suspected dodgy dealings on her space station home — and ends up being sent down to Earth” to be grounded. Raven-Symoné starred as her best friend, Nebula Wade, as well as Gregory Smith (Zenon's crush on planet earth) and Phillip Rhys (rock star Proto Zoa). Disney After the 1999 film, the franchise expanded with two more Disney movies about the futuristic teen — Zenon: The Zequel (2001) and Zenon: Z3 (2004). During the COVID-19 pandemic, Storms virtually reunited with her Disney castmates, Rhys, 52, and Smith, 41, for an exclusive interview with PEOPLE. "I get recognized more for Zenon than I do from General Hospital still," Storms told PEOPLE in June 2020. The actress, who scored her first leading role as Zenon, has starred in the long-running soap opera since 2005. Kirsten Storms & Raven-Symone Film: Zenon: Girl Of The 21st Century (1999). And now people are playing it for their kids, which I think is really cool." Storms added that for her daughter Harper, who was 6 at the time of the interview, understanding Zenon’s storyline was slightly confusing. "Obviously, she was a little young to understand the storyline, but she was really excited to see me on TV, because she'd not seen me in anything before," Storms explained while laughing. "We did clear up some confusion about the fact that I wasn't really Zenon in real life. She thought when I left her, I went to be Zenon. But I have to say, she's way more into Elena of Avalor than any other Disney program. So, I just need to get her away from that and back to the Zenon thing." All three Zenon movies are streaming now on Disney+. Close
