Kelly Rizzo isn't looking to get married any time soon.

In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE at her late husband Bob Saget's Cool Comedy, Hot Cuisine event for the Scleroderma Research Foundation, the actress, 45, shared that her new boyfriend Breckin Meyer was her biggest supporter — but she wasn't quite ready for a deeper commitment.

"I am in a very wonderful place because I'm 45," she began. "I don't want kids. I've been married before, so I'm not in any rush to get married because why?"

Though she's "open" to the idea, Rizzo admitted, "I'm not in a rush to do it. So I'm just enjoying life right now and just enjoying my time with him. And whatever happens one day happens."

When it comes to showing up for her as she remembers her late husband's legacy, Rizzo said Meyer has been nothing short of "incredible."

"He is very comfortable and confident," she explained. "I said, 'I never want to ask you to do anything that you would be uncomfortable with.' And he's like, 'Trust me, if it's a problem, I will let you know.'"

The Comfort Food podcast host noted how "lucky" she was to find somebody who just "gets" how important Saget was in her life and "is just so kind about it."

"It does take a very confident, strong person to show up here," she said of the event. "But he loved Bob too. And he loves all these people. He loves Jeff [Ross], and these are people who he loves. So it's a very comfortable environment for him."

While speaking with E! News about finding new love earlier this month, the Eat Travel Rock founder admitted that moving on after losing Saget was difficult, but said she thought Meyer was one of the few people “Bob would be okay” she brought into her life.

"He's like, ‘Alright, I'm not thrilled about any of this, but it's got to be somebody, let it be Breckin,’” she joked.
