Gwen Stefani is taking a trip down memory lane this Halloween!

On Wednesday, Oct. 30, the “Sweet Escape” singer, 55, shared a photo of her very first spooky holiday with husband Blake Shelton

The 2015 photo was part of an Instagram carousel that began with the couple hanging out together for Halloween.

Stefani wore a farmer girl mini dress and cowgirl hat, adding fake blood to her face and chest area. Meanwhile, Shelton, 48, stood smiling beside her in a striped shirt and a Wienerschnitzel baseball cap.

Many in her comment section tried to guess his costume to no avail.

“Met u in October i had nothing to lose / dressed up like a country girl i’d knew you’d approve / knew i had to kiss you on the Halloween moon,” Stefani captioned the post.

The caption also served as lyrics to a song she sung in the last slide, played over a video of clouds rolling past the moon.

Other images in the upload included a close up photo of Stefani’s costume in its packaging, a selfie of her with Shelton that night and a field of flowers.

That night, the two attended Jared Leto’s private house party, where they were joined by other celebrities such as Jessica Alba and Nicky Hilton, along with Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher, a source told PEOPLE at the time.

Stefani and Shelton first met while taping The Voice in April 2014.

However, at the time, she was married to Gavin Rossdale, and the “Hillbilly Bone” singer was married to fellow country star Miranda Lambert.

“Blake and Gwen are going through similar situations,” a Shelton insider told PEOPLE of their Halloween hangout, at the time adding that the duo was “flirty.”

“They have spent time together and have drawn support from each other,” the source said.

The Voice judges both eventually split from their respective partners, and confirmed their relationship in November 2015. In 2021, they tied the knot.

During an Oct. 2 episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, the pop star shared what made her fall in love with Shelton.

“The thing about Blake is that you’ll never get through a day without laughing,” Stefani said. “You know what I mean? Which is just— it doesn't even matter like what’s going on. The guy has so much patience, and so much kindness in his heart.”

“It just makes you happier every single day.”
