David Beckham and his son Cruz are revving up their style at Formula 1’s Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The Beckhams have a tendency to show off their fashion flair at family events — and the Las Vegas Grand Prix was no exception.

The father-son duo welcomed the race to Vegas at the Club SI party in Las Vegas for the F1 Grand Prix Race on Saturday night and opted for somewhat coordinated smart-casual looks.

David, 48, wore a striking white jacket over a black shirt and black pants, which the former soccer player teamed with a pair of brown suede shoes.

His son, meanwhile, opted for a pinstripe shirt worn over baggy white pants. The youngest Beckham boy — who turned 18 in February — added a pop of color to his look with a pair of green Converse sneakers.

The father and son did not appear to be joined by any other family members at the event, though Cruz's older brother Brooklyn was spotted in Las Vegas over the weekend. Along with Cruz and Brooklyn, David shares son Romeo, 21, and daughter Harper, 12, with his wife, Victoria.

Also in attendance at the Saturday night party were Bachelor alums Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover star Brooks Nader and NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal, who posed with David on the red carpet at the event.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the event, O'Neal, 51, joked that he was once "jealous" of David Beckham, but he now knows the former soccer player and his family well, and thinks he's a "great guy."

"I was always jealous of him," he says, explaining that it was "professional jealousy," because he "wanted to be the highest-paid athlete ever," and at the time Beckham, whom O'Neal didn't know, was a big earner.

"And then I finally met him and he was a cool guy. And if you ever saw his documentary, you should watch it. I never knew he had to go through all that too, but it just shows you how great he is, how he persevered through all that stuff," O'Neal says, adding, "But there's some great guy."

"I know his wife, I know his kids, and again, it's just, even though I'm the Shaq, I'm not Shaq, I'm just a regular person. So the fact that I have David Beckham's number, Tom Brady's number on my phone doesn't get any bigger than that."

The Las Vegas Grand Prix marks the first F1 race in Las Vegas since the ‘80s. The track runs along Vegas’s famous sites on the Strip, including the Venetian, The Mirage and Caesars Palace.

Although Victoria did not appear to be present at the Las Vegas event, David and his wife recently gave fans a peek inside their personal life in Netflix documentary Beckham. The four-part series follows David’s rise to fame as a soccer star, and offers a glimpse into David and Victoria's relationship over the years.

David recently opened up about creating the documentary, saying that it “took me a while to come to terms with filming, and talking about my life.”

"It wasn't easy and it was an emotional rollercoaster over the last two and a half years but I think we’ve produced something that my team can be very proud of,” David said.

The Beckhams first met at a soccer match in 1997, when Victoria was at peak Spice Girls fame and David was a star on the Manchester United team. The stars' fame ultimately led to the couple feeling like they were "drowning."

In the fourth episode of the series, Victoria and David revisit the couple’s “hardest period,” when media frenzies tested their relationship. In the episode, Victoria says it was “the most unhappy I've ever been in my entire life”

The couple renewed their vows in 2017 and David spoke about their relationship shortly after on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs.

“We know each other better than anybody,” David said. “People have talked about, ‘Do we stay together because it’s a brand?’ Of course not. We stay together because we love each other, because we have four amazing children,” he said. “Do you go through tough times? Of course. That’s part of relationships. It’s part of marriages. It’s part of having children. It’s part of having responsibilities.”

The Beckhams celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary in July, with Victoria posting photos of the pair on Instagram. “Still holding hands and still laughing (with you not just at you😂) I love you so much @davidbeckham xx,” the star captioned the photos.
