Jennifer Lopez has a personal prescription for keeping her private life with husband Marc Anthony, well, private. “You don’t have to go where everybody goes; there are a million other places that are great,” Lopez, 38, tells Giant magazine in its October/November issue. She also shows compassion for those who are younger finding themselves in the limelight. “People wonder why Britney or Lindsay or Paris is acting crazy, but they don’t know what it means not to be able to walk outside your house,” says Lopez. ” ‘Oh, but she has $10 million!’ they say, but that doesn’t help when you can’t … feel good! “I feel so bad when I see people going through the beginnings of it. Because it’s not fun. You have to learn to navigate it ’cause if you don’t, it will eat you up. … It’s a lot of pressure. And you gotta keep grounded and find a way to deal with it and hopefully have love in your life.” In her case, that’s Anthony. “From the day Marc and I met, we’ve always had amazing chemistry, but the timing has to be right,” she says. “We established early on that our relationship was not for public consumption. When we’re out there, it’s ’cause it’s part of our work, but you won’t catch us hanging out at some random place with paparazzi following us ’cause we don’t let them,” she adds. “And we have such a tight circle of friends, we don’t have people calling the photographers saying, ‘Marc and Jennifer are coming here.’ ” Sharing the Spotlight Besides, there is the fact that she and Anthony are doing something particularly public – the two are currently on tour in advance of her latest album, Brave, due out Oct. 9. Then again, it’s just not the two who are in the spotlight, but, possibly three. Lopez has been the subject of pregnancy rumors, fueled even further by a recent gust of air that exposed what appeared to be a baby bump during a concert at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. “People started buzzing as they were leaving the concert,” a source told PEOPLE. “There was a lot of buzzing, people saying, ‘Oh yeah, she’s pregnant!’ ” While Lopez has not official confirmed the report, the New York Post reports that the singer will announce her pregnancy in front of a hometown audience, onstage at Madison Square Garden on Oct. 7. • Reporting by BRENDA RODRIGUEZ Who’s turning 40?
