🪩Last Tuesday, we had our monthly Female Founders Lunch. This time we talked about #biotech and had two amazing speakers: Alise Jēkabsone - co-founder of Algea Tree, shared her story and learnings that she and her team gained while building and developing a microalgae-based indoor air quality improvement device. Building a startup is not easy, but building a hardware startup in biotech is a particularly challenging endeavor. And Agnese Stunda-Zujeva - a co-founder and CEO of SpirulinaNord took us on a journey into the world of biotechnologies, science, microalgae, and their combination in food. Spirulina is a so-called superfood, it's rich in nutrients, including protein, iron, vitamin B12, and beta-carotene, a good source of antioxidants and often is touted for its potential health benefits.
