Government of Karnataka State (India) has launched a draft Global Capacity Centers (GCC) policy to boost economic growth and job creation. The policy aims to double the number of GCCs to 1000 by 2029, generating USD 50 billion and creating 350,000 jobs. 𝐀𝐈 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬: Setting up an AI Centre of Excellence and an AI Skilling Council to foster AI research and development. 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐮 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐞: Offering incentives to attract GCCs to other parts of Karnataka. Expect total convergence and brining banks to the farmers , govt is willing , banks have mandate to lend but process, technology and credit models are yet to get adopted by banks to meet needs of 120 plus mln marginal and small farmers and another 80 Mln plus tenanted farmers , and others who are engaged in dairy , animal husbandry for their living ..

Exploring the Surge in Demand for Physical Cash in Digital India As we embrace the Digital India initiative, with its significant rise in UPI transactions and other digital payment methods, one would expect a corresponding decline in the need for physical cash. Yet, the reality presents a paradox. Despite the fanfare surrounding the launch of digital cash a few months ago, the demand for physical currency continues to soar. In just the last four months, the amount of physical cash in circulation has surged from ₹33.5 lakh crore to ₹35.3 lakh crore—an increase of ₹1.8 lakh crore (approximately 5%). In contrast, the uptake of digital cash has seen a rise from ₹109.1 crore to ₹263.2 crore—a notable growth, but minuscule in comparison. Interestingly, the demand for ₹200 denomination notes has spiked dramatically, marking the highest growth at 1.13 times, followed by ₹100, ₹50, and ₹500 notes in terms of value. However, the ₹10 denomination notes have seen a decrease in demand. Among coins, the ₹20 and ₹10 denominations are increasingly sought after. On the digital front, e₹500 and e₹2 denominations, along with e₹100, have experienced significant upticks, suggesting a nuanced shift in consumer preferences. Why, in an increasingly digital economy, does the need for physical cash persist at such high rates? India's agriculture sector accounts for 16-18% of the country's GDP but has cumulatively received less than $2B USD of VC/PE funding in the last decade. This is the lowest Funding/GDP of any sector in India. Aeravti Ventures has been working to change this, by supporting ventures crucially at the Seed stage where the concentration of capital is the lowest. India's Digital Public Infrastructure: A Global Model for Transformation and Financial Inclusion India's Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) is gaining global attention as a model for digital transformation. Originally known as "India Stack," DPI includes critical systems like Aadhaar (digital identification), the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), and platforms like CoWIN for managing health services. This system has significantly improved financial inclusion, achieving 80% coverage in just six years—progress that would have otherwise taken decades. These systems have not only enhanced public services in India but are now being viewed as templates for other nations to follow, especially in sectors like health, education, and digital payments. At least 20 countries, including nations in Africa and developed countries like France and Germany, have expressed interest in adopting or learning from India's DPI. Twelve countries have already signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with India to adopt aspects of this infrastructure and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology is already working with them. The appeal lies in its open-source, scalable nature, which allows countries, particularly low- and middle-income ones, to adopt these solutions at lower costs while benefiting from shared knowledge and technology​. As more nations express interest and formalize partnerships, India's DPI is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of global digital governance, bridging divides, and fostering inclusive growth worldwide.
