8hGreat forum to share new ideas and learn about best practices already implemented. Ravishankar Shiroor is doing amazing work in building the technology to monitor livestock. More leaders of dairy companies should implement this monitoring technology to benefit society and consumers, optimizing costs. The Confederation of Indian Industry should advise the government to incentivize private companies to adopt this technology. Stellapps Technologies Private Limited is creating a tech platform that addresses four of the biggest challenges in the Indian dairy industry: 1. It helps improve animal productivity, which is among the lowest in the country. 2. It enhances farmers' income by providing efficient solutions. 3. By digitizing the supply chain—99.5% of milk data is digitized without manual intervention using Stellapps' technology—the problem of adulteration can be resolved. Additionally, real-time monitoring improves the quality of milk, which boosts consumer demand for milk and milk products. 4. It facilitates the inclusion of farmers in institutional finance. Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) help recognize farmers' income, providing them with creditworthiness and financial stability.
