Dear Amit Sodhi, this is an open letter to you and your team at Rentickle: If you breach customer trust by showing misleading images and shipping defective products, then break customer confidence by not providing even hygiene-level customer support, you will most definitely be labelled as a Fraudulent Enterprise. On 24th November I received defective, poor quality rental furniture. The way it was lathered with varnish I would call it fraudulent. Please note that Furlenco RentoMojo etc. have already set the bar high for rentals in India. You can’t just get away with this. Your customer helpline can’t be reached since the IVR doesn’t accept the soft keypad responses from my iPhone. The TAT for email responses look to be 48-72 hours that too with a templated response of “someone will reach out to you.” I then sent you Amit Sodhi a personal DM on LinkedIn. And yet no response. I hope this wakes you guys up. Your processes are broken. Time for the CEO to fix it.

Quick commerce has a rare opportunity to transform the industry, taking the Kirana store along with them. This is absolutely necessary if they want to penetrate deeper into middle India. An estimated USD 1.28 billion worth of Kirana sales is expected to move to quick commerce platforms in 2024, accounting for 21 percent of the latter's total sales. However, over 90% of this sector is still unorganised. • This is a massive opportunity for commerce to collaborate and do strategic alliances with Kirana stores. • They should on board Kirana Store Owners, digitalize them and offer them their end of mile delivery services. • In return, quick commerce players get access to a section of the store which can function as a dark store or there can be a separate inventory for quick commerce. • This will also solve the problem for FMCG companies who have to keep the interests of their distributors as well as they desire to go on quick commerce Quick Commerce has captured nearly half of Kirana sales; with market projected to hit $40 billion by 2030. I'm sure I'm not the first one who is thought of the solution. However, the most difficult thing is to convince the Kirana store owners and to form strategic alliances. There is already a start-up working on this problem. Quick Commerce players will build much more sustainable businesses by taking the industry along not competing against it, especially if they want to penetrate beyond the top 30 cities in India.

Info Edge Q1: Net Profits Zooms 75% YoY To INR 258.85 Cr ! SUMMARY : The company's revenue from operations also grew 20% YoY and 2% QoQ to INR 827.92 Cr. Its expenses also jumped 7% YoY to INR 484.58 Cr Info Edge’s MD and CEO Hitesh Oberoi said that the company’s matchmaking business Jeevansathi neared breakeven in the quarter. The company said that its main business, job board Naukri.com, saw an “uptick” of 5.6% YoY growth in its revenues to INR 487.17 Cr.
