As global economies embrace AI, it's clear that government support is necessary to accelerate AI adoption for the benefit of the public. India emerges as a critical player in the Global AI race, with the government driving the country's AI transformation. By fostering public trust in technology, India's innovative Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) is a crucial aspect of AI adoption. Reflecting on my tenure as CTO at the City of Toronto, our Digital Infrastructure Strategic Framework (DISF) set digital guidelines that the City Council unanimously adopted. Approaches of this nature underscore the pivotal role of governments in shaping digital infrastructure to support the enablement of current and emerging technologies. As AI integrates further into our lives, collaborative government-private sector solutions are essential to tackle society's challenges. For this iteration, I decided to test out a new model trained on drum breaks, courtesy of fellow creative coder, Abhinay Khoparzi. The signal chain mirrors that of Fractured Neurons #1, but the training dataset posed an interesting challenge due to its periodicity. When I fed periodic material from the glitch machine into the trained model, the latency from the parallel processed signal became quite noticeable when layered with the dry glitch machine signal. Initially, I attempted to implement a dynamic logic to address the latency in real-time, but the results were uninspiring. In the end, Occam's razor held true. Applying a static delay to the dry signal turned out to be the most effective solution. I think this iteration has a unique sonic signature. Some of the sounds evoke timbres that feel both familiar and alien, and there’s something about the overall rhythmic structure that subtly hints at a glitchy tabla progression—but that might just be my perception and biases at play. Grateful for the enlightening discussions on Data Lake vs Data Warehouse during our panel session at #DES2024 by AIM Events! Exciting times are ahead as AI and ML advancements promise to revolutionize storage practices.  Here are some key points and future predictions from our talk. 1️⃣ We talked about how to achieve incremental ROI with both storage approaches, considering specific goals. The rise of ML and AI will dramatically change data storage practices. With data volume, user base, and use cases expected to grow, big changes are coming. 2️⃣ AI capabilities are changing data engineering, making data preparation, pipeline management, and data movement faster and more automated. Future strategies need to focus on cost-effectiveness, flexibility, security, and governance. Hybrid approaches like the Data Lakehouse, which combine the best of Data Warehouses and Data Lakes, are becoming popular. 3️⃣ Edge computing will increase the need for better compute power in storage management. Real-time analytics will continue to improve storage practices. AI and ML integration will make data modeling and discovery easier. #Psychomatics: a new frontier in understanding #AI https://lnkd.in/g_Ubz4ii Psychomatics is derived from the fusion of "psychology" and "informatics" to provide a deeper understanding of the similarities and differences in their cognitive processes. Humans possess conscious intentions, self-awareness and the ability to make deliberate choices. LLMs, while capable of producing coherent and seemingly purposeful responses, lack purposeful responses, lack true consciousness or internal motivations. Their outputs are fundamentally reactive, based on patterns in their training data and the prompts they receive. Humans can use imagination and combine existing knowledge in unique ways to entirely new ideas and meanings.
