This is a story of a comeback. A story of courage, bold decisions, and relentless belief.   I’m incredibly proud to share that Mahindra & Mahindra has been named Company of the Year at the Economic Times Excellence Awards. This recognition isn’t just about where we are today … it’s about the journey that got us here.   “The Mahindra Group: Leading with Purpose” was the title of a Harvard Business School case study in April 2021. It highlighted our belief that we should lead with Purpose. Our Rise philosophy, grounded in the values articulated by our Founders, continues to guide our actions. At the time, the article posed a pointed question: “Should Mahindra concentrate on Rise when the need of the hour was a laser-sharp focus on financial goals and returns?” This question was especially pertinent as our financial performance in preceding years was well below the standards we had set.   Over the past four years, we have provided a compelling answer. We not only reaffirmed our commitment to leading with purpose but also delivered strong profits. With disciplined capital allocation and a pivot toward growth, we demonstrated that Purpose and Performance can go hand in hand. Each of our associates displayed boldness, agility, and collaboration, enabling all our businesses to achieve extraordinary results in the face of many challenges.   This award isn’t just about results or numbers, it is about what we do every day - a sharp focus on our customers, a drive to execute flawlessly and a culture that cares about our associates. Mahindra Aerospace retained its ‘D2P Challenger’ ranking that places it within the Top 25 Global Suppliers of parts to Airbus - 4th year in a row - at the Annual D2P Conference in Toulouse, France. The company also received the Special Award as the ‘Ramp-up Enabler’, a one-of-a-kind award given in recognition to Mahindra Aerospace’s ability to deliver despite global supply chain challenges, the only company selected to be honoured thus. Further, Mahindra Aerospace is the only Indian company to be included in a new pilot comprehensive Business Excellence assessment programme for the aerospace industry titled ‘Aero Excellence’. Launched by Airbus and other aerospace majors this programme was rolled out at the Aviation Forum in Munich, Germany last month, where Mahindra Aerospace shared the stage with 10 leading global aero industry OEMs with a respectable 96% in the assessment securing a ‘Bronze’ rating.

The Mahindra Group joined leading global businesses at the COP29 in Baku to drive climate advocacy and accelerated action.
