Take a look at this picture. It was taken today at our Salesforce offices in Tel-Aviv. It shows a few dozens of Salesforce Israel employees in one of our regular all-hands meetings. What's so special about that? Well, that picture was taken exactly 36 hours after Iran launched a massive aerial strike against Israel with 100s of UCAVs, ballistic and cruise missiles carrying about 60 tons(!) of explosives. Thanks to the Israeli Air force, the air forces of the US, UK, France, Jordan and others *and* Israeli innovation and engineering talent who developed the most advanced multi-layered air defense systems in the world - luckily that attack ended up with relatively low impact. It was a sleepless night for all us in Israel who got an advanced notice of the attack and basically spent that night bracing for impact. Now take another look at this picture. 36 hours later - People showing up at the office, talking to each other, having a few laughs, having meetings, discussing deadlines, solving business problems, discussing engineering problems, doing demos, having coffee and lunch together, having an all-hands meeting together. 36 hours ago we were bracing for impact of 60 tons of explosives that were about to fall out of the sky. Two Years at HiBob: Lessons Learned and Shots Taken Today, I celebrate my second anniversary at HiBob, reflecting on a journey that profoundly deepened my commitment to a growth mindset. Just last week, our leadership team gathered for a retrospective that highlighted not just our successes but the spirit in which we achieve them. While one group showcased their exceptional completion of features for the Q, going 100% on their top priorities, it was Israel David’s, our CTO and cofounder,  reaction that truly encapsulated what HiBob is all about. He applauded their achievements but pushed us further with a critical question: "Everything’s green, yet,  are we truly challenging us?" ( in this case they challenged them selves, yet, the important point here is the question itself) Israel David’s question resonated deeply with me, sparking a reflection on our goals and methods. He likened our strategy to shooting from the three-point line in basketball, emphasizing that our real aim isn't merely to achieve the easily attainable but to set goals that challenge us to extend beyond our perceived limits, even if we risk missing. This mindset reflects the resilience and boldness I admire, by pushing past conventional boundaries. At HiBob , we're encouraged, at all levels,  not just to meet our targets but to engage with each challenge fully, learning from every attempt and growing with each project. Over these two years, I've embraced every opportunity to take my shot, successful or not, knowing each effort contributes to my growth. This culture of continual learning and pushing past comfort zones is what makes my time at HiBob truly transformative. Shoutout to my manager Ido Stern, and my peers  Hagai Levin , Doron Cyngiser , Tsach Moshkovits, Yishai Halpert,Ori Danus and Gal Schwartz Maman And to my leads, Tal Almog, Eilon Levin, Roey Shemla, Avigail Berger, David Ohana, Roy Huna, Michael Cohen, Boris Kushnir, Guy Linksman, Ori Vidra, Vittorio Scibetta, Yonatan Rosemarin and Ofer Pen for consistently transforming challenges into opportunities for learning and growth, making this journey a remarkable one. I've focused on activation across all the products I’ve worked on, dedicating a lot of time to it as an Onboarding Product Lead at Kontur Bank and Fingular. TL;DR: We had interns, they did great work, and I am super proud of them and thankful to Google and especially Alon Cohen, Moran Otorgust, Tehila Gourary, Shaked Tal, Netanel Persik, Yoav Yanovski who let me take part in this initiative, Not So short version: I am a big supporter of on-the-job-training. I believe our education system is fundamentally broken and the entire way we train people for both work and life needs to change.  When I heard from Shaked that this is a possibility, I started looking for what type of tasks in my domain they can take on. “What kind of skills do they have?” “Basic python”. “I can work with that”. Our highschool interns wrote api tests that verify api credentials for the integration lab. They also wrote selenium automation that does the same for UI credentials. They did meaningful work, and they got paid for it, much better than working the usual summer jobs highschoolers get. So yeah, We had to match the tasks to the programmers, We had to help them a bit with ramp-up, and working with juniors means spending more time supporting them. But now they are almost fully independent, picking up their own tasks, managing most of the development and testing themselves, Just goes to show you how quickly people can learn and become productive with the right motivation. This is useful work, and they were only here for a month, working 3 days a week. Imagine what we could’ve done if we had them for longer. I’m super proud of you Daria Dvoeglazova, Darina Grinkrug, Roman Tymoshchuk, Hadas Zelibanski, shlomit abaye, and feel a great satisfaction to have been a part of on-boarding you to the tech industry.
