The history of our family-owned Group, whose origins date back to 1724, is the result of the 1990 merger of holding companies owned by the Hériard Dubreuil and Cointreau families, who controlled E. Rémy Martin & Cie SA and Cointreau & Cie SA, respectively. Today, approximately 1,800 employees are working with us around the world. We value terroir, people and time—values which link our Houses closely together. Our Houses produce exceptional products for exceptional moments. They are the result of a rigorous selection of ingredients from the best terroirs transformed by time and the expertise of inspired men and women.     Today we released our First-half 2024-25 results. "In a complex economic and geopolitical context, Rémy Cointreau was able to hold margins steady in the first half of the year through rigorous cost management and our now more agile organization. While the US recovery is expected to be very slow, recent encouraging signs for Cognac plus resilience observed in Liqueurs & Spirits confirm the relevance of our strict pricing strategy. In China, despite uncertain conditions, we continued to gain market share thanks to the desirability of our brands, our ability to innovate, and our strong presence in e-commerce. Looking ahead, the second half will see continued efforts to rein in costs as part of our €50m full-year savings plan. But it’s essential that we not lose sight of our goals—and in that respect the time has come to prepare for recovery. We thus plan to begin reintroducing targeted investments in marketing as early as H2, to support peak activity in both the United States and China. Thanks to the quality of our brands and our teams’ engagement and talent, we can look to the future with confidence as we press ahead. I would like to take this opportunity to extend my warmest thanks to all our employees, whose responsiveness and creativity are critical assets as we prepare for recovery and work to achieve our medium-term goals."     📣 Cointreau, one of the iconic spirits of the Rémy Cointreau Group, becomes the first #spirits brand in the world to incorporate low-carbon, legume-based alcohol into its production. 🌱   This milestone results from an innovative environmental partnership between Rémy Cointreau and INTACT  🤝 This #innovation will reduce Cointreau's carbon footprint by 5%, saving an estimated 1,200 tons of CO2 equivalent each year.     📖 [Publication baromètre 2024 - Edition FLAG] Les 50 entreprises qui ouvrent la voie à la réduction des émissions liées à l’agriculture, aux forêts et aux sols. Les émissions liées aux Forêts, Terres et Agriculture (FLAG) représentent près de 25% des émissions mondiales de gaz à effet de serre - la deuxième plus grande source d'émissions après l'énergie. Leur réduction est donc cruciale pour limiter le réchauffement climatique à 1,5°C. Mais où en sont les entreprises de l’agroalimentaire dans leurs engagements et réductions de ces émissions ? Pour y répondre, nos équipes ont analysé l’ensemble des multinationales de l’agroalimentaire opérant en Europe. 𝐃𝐞́𝐜𝐫𝐲𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 ⤵ 🎯 50 industriels et distributeurs se démarquent de par leur prise d’engagements publics de réduction de leurs émissions liés à l’agriculture, aux forêts et aux sols (engagement FLAG alignés avec la science). Bien que ce chiffre reste faible, les données montrent une accélération de la dynamique - notamment en Grande-Bretagne, en France et au Pays- Bas. 📊 Parmi ces premières entreprises, 8 se distinguent particulièrement en suivant et en partageant déjà les progrès accomplis dans la réalisation de leur objectif : Danone, Lindt & Sprüngli, Nestlé Nespresso SA, Unilever, John Lewis & Partners, Mowi, Ocado Retail et Van Loon Group. 🛒 L’obligation d'intégrer des objectifs FLAG au deuxième semestre 2025 pour maintenir un engagement Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) pousse également les distributeurs à renforcer leurs engagements climatiques. C’est le cas d’au moins 20 d'entre eux qui ont ou auront des objectifs FLAG d’ici la fin de l’année 2025.  Au-delà des préoccupations environnementales et de la validation du SBTi, l'engagement des distributeurs constitue une nouvelle incitation forte qui accélérera l'adoption des objectifs FLAG par les industriels. Bravo à ces entreprises qui ouvrent la voie ! Leurs engagements encouragent l'écosystème à prendre des mesures significatives, et nous souhaitons que cette analyse serve d'appel à l'action pour que d'autres fixent leurs propres objectifs FLAG. “Les émissions FLAG représentant 25% des émissions globales, il est prioritaire de les réduire pour atteindre les objectifs de l’accord de Paris et relever le plus grand défi de notre siècle.     Embarking on the path to decarbonization requires continuous investment and a strong ability to innovate 🌱. Collective intelligence is also a strong lever for success, whether through the support and buy-in of teams worldwide 🌎 or through association with partners who share the same vision🤝.   This week, Verallia France inaugurated the world's 100% electric furnace with the largest capacity in the food packaging industry, at the heart of its factory located in Cognac, Charente.   First of all, we would like to extend our most sincere congratulations to the men and women who designed this technical innovation 💡, a pioneering milestone in this industry.   It is also a great source of pride for our cognac house Rémy Martin, which has chosen to entrust them with the production of several bottles used for its exceptional spirits.   Working towards more sustainable growth is a pillar of our CSR strategy, Sustainable Exception ♻️.     Le tout 1er four 100% électrique du monde destiné au verre d’emballage alimentaire est français et situé en Charente, à Cognac ! Cette innovation technologique verrière majeure, inaugurée par notre partenaire Verallia, constitue une étape d’envergure pour la filière. C’est une grande fierté pour Rémy Cointreau de pouvoir associer à ce projet stratégique plusieurs produits de notre Maison de cognac pluri centenaire, Rémy Martin.   Permettant de réduire de 60% les émissions de CO2 (vs un four traditionnel), ce projet témoigne d’engagements et de valeurs partagées : -travailler pour éco-concevoir une production plus durable, tout en préservant la qualité exceptionnelle des produits, -trouver des solutions concrètes en faveur de la décarbonation, -s’investir localement et faire rayonner des savoir-faire.
