After almost 12 years as Chief Financial Officer of one of the world’s leading consumer goods companies and largest Coca-Cola bottler's, yesterday marked my first day as CFO of Diageo plc, a global leader in premium drinks. I’m delighted to join such an iconic company, renowned for its innovative and world-class brands, and commitment to having a positive societal impact. As consumer tastes have changed over the years, so has the industry and Diageo has been at the forefront of responding to this evolution. I look forward to working with the fantastic team and alongside Debra Crew to deliver Diageo’s Growth Ambition; to create one of the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer products companies in the world. As water basin champion for our India business, I am extremely passionate about our goal to preserve water for life. The Godavari basin is an important water source, especially as we face a growing shortage of fresh water, and we must participate in collective action to preserve this precious resource – for the communities we operate in, the future of our business, and our planet.
