🌟 Great News from Spain! 👥 The Spanish ESIRA team, consisting of Universidad de Burgos, Fundación Oxígeno and SODEBUR, has established the Spanish Multi-Actor Platform (MAP) in Hontoria del Pinar, a village located in the Pinares Burgos-Soria region. 💡 During the meeting, more than forty participants discussed the current needs of the people in this region, the challenges they face, and planned future activities. 📅 The next MAP meeting is scheduled for September 20th. In the meantime, the MAP members will define their specific roles and responsibilities. How much has automation increased inequality? In a new working paper, Daron Acemoglu and Pascual Restrepo estimate that automation accounts for 52% of the increase in between-group inequality in the US since 1980. Automation targets high-rent worker tasks (those with wages well above opportunity cost), which exacerbates wage losses and has offset at least 60% of the productivity gains from automation in the last 40 years. Here are the benefits that ABB customers will enjoy: traceability/transparency, double benefits, economical (lower costs) and sustainable benefits, and the expertise of secondary vs. virgin materials (CO2 footprint by 90%). This is going to become increasingly important for procurement. Which shows again the role of procurement making sure that secundary materials are used by producers. Tackle waste management requires a collaboration effeort, here Narci & Carles. "Will enjoy": customers are still hesitant to buy yet. As usual no ones wants to be a guinea pig. On the other side: Greatness is a matter of conscious choice (Jim Collins), which begs the question: shall the decision be left to customers?

✍️We are currently working with HALO Space on the design of the “Heat Ventilation and Air Conditioning” (#HVAC) system for a #greenhydrogen powered spacecraft. 🌍The main goal of the project is to create a #tourismspacecraft in Spain, aiming for 400 flights per year starting in 2029, with a capacity for 8 people and a pilot per launch. Each flight will last about 6 hours and will allow passengers to contemplate the curvature of Earth, the halo surrounding it and the vastness of Space for about 2 hours. 🚀Given that the capsule will reach heights of more than 30 kilometers, it is critical to design a Thermal Control System capable of safely withstanding the harsh conditions of outer space. 🌡️That’s where our #expertise comes in, as we innovate and test every possibility to ensure optimal efficiency in the #thermalsystems of the spacecraft. 📰If you want to delve deeper into the project, read this article (in Spanish) from Expansión! https://lnkd.in/dXnyyhr9
