A subsidiary of Misr Cement Group Misr Cement Minya has an annual production capacity of 2.2 million tons per year, or 6000 tons of clinker per day. With a long-standing solid reputation, Misr Cement Minya supplies and dispatches a wide range of bulk cement products to mega-projects whether in the contracting sector or the concrete ready-mix sector. Arab Contractors, Petrojet, and Orascom are just a few of the giant construction companies that have had a solid, long-term business relationship with Misr Cement Minya, and who continue to rely on its products in their mega-projects. With a stronghold on distribution as well, Misr Cement Minya’s products have a far reach into all of Egypt’s governorates. Some of the notable projects are Zohr gas field project, Samalloot highway, bridges of Shobra-Banha freeway and an industrial waste water treatment plant in 10th of Ramadan City, among others. North of the governorate of Minya, only 230 Km south of Cairo is the state-of-the-art production plant of Misr Cement Minya. The central location gives the plant access to the Eastern Desert Road, as well as Al Shaikh Fadl Road to Bani Mazar City. The plant is in a key location serving other high-demand markets across central and Upper Egypt. The plant operates on state-of-the-art European cement production technologies by FLSmidth & Co., the leading global solutions provider in sustainable productivity.

As part of the government's plan to achieve sustainable development and as an addition to the accomplishments of the Misr Cement Group, contracts for the management and operation of waste treatment and recycling plants were signed between the group and the governorates of Qena and Sohag. This event was attended by a distinguished group of senior officials, including the Minister of Environment, Dr. Yasmine Fouad; the Minister of Local Development, Dr. Manal Mikhail Awad; Major General Dr. Abdel Fattah Sirag, Governor of Sohag; Dr. Khaled abdel Halim, Governor of Qena; Major General Abdel-Fattah Harhour, Chairman of the Group; Mr. Hassan Gabry, Managing Director and CEO of the Group; and Engineer Bassam Abdul Rasoul, Head of the Technical Group and General Manager of Qena for Management and Maintenance.
