What makes human rights a reality? It starts with safety, security, and the courage to act. This Human Rights Day, themed ‘Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now,’ we're honouring the people who work in fragile environments to create the conditions where safety and dignity thrive. Behind every life supported are the systems, safety, and security that make progress possible. The future isn’t built by ideals alone. It’s built by those who act to make them real. Thank you to everyone, across our Group, who help strengthen communities every day. #HumanRightsDay #OurRightsOurFutureRightNow

Nearly 1 in 3 women will experience physical or sexual violence at least once in their lifetime. This alarming reality should remind us all: we need to act. On International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we join the global #16DaysOfActivism movement to end the horrific and pervasive human rights violation that is gender-based violence (GBV). Added to physical violence and psychological trauma, GBV threatens education and employment opportunities, and removes the right to safety and dignity for millions of women and girls. Vulnerable groups, including those in conflict-affected and disaster areas, and marginalised communities, face even greater risks. We’re standing #TogetherForBetter with CTG, as they highlight what collective action we can take to help end GBV. Follow CTG's 16 Days of Activism here ➡️ CTG #GBV #GenderBasedViolence #HumanRights

We recently gathered 15 leaders from across the Chelsea Group for the annual Reporting Committee at Chelsea Parkfields. A productive few days of workshops, collaboration activities, and celebrating 25 years!
The annual Chelsea Group Reporting Committee event was hosted at Chelsea Parkfields, bringing together 15 leaders from Somalia, Colombia, Mozambique, Dubai, Cyprus, South Africa and more. Over three days, the team engaged in workshops and activities hosted by The Leadership Trust around collaboration, all set against the backdrop of our beautiful grounds. The event included a six-course dinner in celebration of Chelsea Group’s 25 years of excellence. Here’s to the next chapter of growth in 2025! Remembrance Day honours more than those who fought. It honours all who have served and continue to do so – military, civilians, emergency responders, and their families – those who have laid down their lives for peace and safety. Today, we pause to respect their great courage and sacrifice. Established in 1919 as Armistice Day, Remembrance Day originally marked the end of World War I and has grown to recognise all those who have fallen in service during conflicts. It reminds us that the impact of war extends beyond the battlefield, affecting families and communities worldwide. True remembrance asks us not just to look back, but to live in a way that values their sacrifice. As we move forward, we must carry their hopes through actions that strengthen peace. #RemembranceDay #InServiceAndSacrifice #LestWeForget

We’re thrilled to announce James Houghton as the new CEO of Hart International. Having been part of the Hart Security team for over nine years – first as Business Development Director, then as COO – James has been key to Hart's growth, evolving its services while staying true to the integrity that defines Hart’s reputation worldwide. With 25+ years in the security sector, James’s approach aligns perfectly with Hart’s commitment to providing reliable, resilient security and risk-management solutions where they’re needed most. As he takes the helm, he’ll continue to build on the foundation set by Lord Richard Westbury MBE, our founding CEO and a continued guide for Hart's vision. As we observe United Nations 2024, it's a moment to reflect on the importance of international cooperation and the protection of human dignity. The principles of the UN Charter remain as relevant today as they were when it was formed in 1945, guiding global efforts to protect civilians and uphold justice. For Chelsea Group, this day reinforces our dedication to creating safer environments in the world's most challenging regions. The work we do aligns with the UN’s mission to support stability and safeguard those who are most at risk. While progress has been made, the ongoing conflicts around the world remind us of the critical need to uphold these values. Today, we stand in solidarity with the global community in our shared commitment to a safer and more just world. Hear from the Secretary-General of the UN, what this day means to him and to the world on the link below. https://lnkd.in/dr5e3Ybb #unitednationsday #globalunity #peacesecurity #unday #uncharter #chelseagroup #since1945

Chelsea Group reposted this
"In 2023, we recorded almost 60 state-based conflicts – the highest since the UN Charter was adopted. Civilian casualties increased by 72%, and violations of international law are on the rise." – Ramesh Rajasingham, Director, United Nations OCHA, speaking at AidEx 2024. A stark reminder as the world observes United Nations Day 2024. But this is a day for hope and unity still. The enduring principles of the UN Charter – to safeguard civilians, uphold international law, and promote human dignity – remain a powerful framework for our actions. At Hart, we mark UN Day with deep respect for the Charter’s mission and the global efforts to protect the vulnerable. In a time when civilians are increasingly targeted, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting those principles in every environment we serve. We must acknowledge the progress made under the UN Charter, and we recognise the ongoing need to uphold its values in a world where conflict continues to threaten civilian lives.
