#Life #Coach When I was a child, I used to wonder how drivers managed to navigate their buses without constantly looking at the tires! Growing up in the hilly terrain of Himachal Pradesh, where roads are narrow and often cling precariously to the sides of mountains, made this a genuine concern. I would watch in awe as vehicles seemed to tread perilously close to the edge, the tires virtually touching the outline of the road. This was a puzzle I couldn't solve on my own, so I turned to my father for answers. Ironically, my dad never drove a car in his life, and even today, he hasn't. Yet, his wisdom was unwavering. When I asked him how drivers could possibly see the tires and drive safely, he calmly explained, "The driver has to look through the road and drive. If he looks at the tires, he will meet with an accident." As a child, I struggled to grasp this concept. It seemed so abstract and counterintuitive. How could you drive without constantly checking the tires? But as I grew older, I began to understand the deeper meaning behind my father's words. He was teaching me a valuable life lesson. I recently visited Himachal, and the thought got refreshed. Visualize the noise around you today—whether personal or professional—as distractions. If you focus solely on these immediate concerns, you will never find happiness. Instead, if you keep your eyes on a bright future, today's troubles will seem insignificant. By focusing on the road ahead, much like a driver looking through the road and not at the tires, you navigate through life's challenges with a clear vision and purpose. 1 )Corporates need to focus on long-term strategy instead of taking shortcuts to avoid immediate pressure from stakeholders. 2 ) Professionals need to visualize themselves in the long term. Beyond Current Obesity Treatments: Retatrutide’s Role as the potential New Gold Standard for Obesity   As the global obesity epidemic continues to rise, we are witnessing the development of next-generation therapies that offer unprecedented potential for weight management and metabolic health. Among these, retatrutide is emerging as a game-changer in the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes. This novel triple-receptor agonist — currently in phase III clinical trials — is designed to target GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon receptors, making it one of the most promising agents in the metabolic therapeutics landscape.   What Sets Retatrutide Apart? Retatrutide works by simultaneously activating three key metabolic pathways: GLP-1 receptor agonism enhances insulin secretion, reduces appetite, and slows gastric emptying. Bitter Truth "The show must go on; with you or without you." And indeed it does. Never heard that the show stopped forever for someone. It does stop for a moment, while paying respects for the departed one, but not for every one who has departed. It pauses for a moment only and only if the departed one has added some value to the show. Instead of adding value, most fall prey to the habit of creating fiefdoms and an aura of indispensability and invincibility. Least they understand that the only way to be indispensable is to be not indispensable. And there's a paradox in this bitter truth. Sahir Ludhianvi is his song "Main pal do pal ka Shayar hu" depicts the dispensable nature of the poet. Our life on this earth is akin to a play. Shakespeare as well as Maharastrian poet G. D. Madgulkar captured it in their writings. GaDiMa was the pen name of G D Madgulkar and in his song "Ek Dagha Sukhacha" he portrays this concept. Add value by enacting our part in the play with full justice, do our best in the play, and while we perform our act, be mindful that there will be better actors in future who would enact our part in a much better way. But for now we play our part in such a way that in future those actors recall how good we played our part. And how we taught them to be better than us. This is indispensability. This is real #psalmoflife And isn't that #leadership too, when you create more leaders for the future.

API production in India, China's drug (including API and intermediate products) cartel has been broken in the last six months. Perhaps China did not realise that India would revive its pharmaceutical industry in such a big way, so it had built additional capacity with a view to capture the pharmaceutical industry of the world. Now due to high capacity, the supply of APIs in China has increased significantly and the reduction in prices is an obvious outcome. Now that APIs are being produced in large quantities in the country, the falling prices of APIs are indicative of the same. But the government will have to be cautious that the industries that have been re-built due to PLIs, do not fall victims of dumping by China again. The biggest apprehension of the entrepreneurs who have invested under the PLI scheme was about this only. Since China has a large excess capacity, China can again resort to dumping of its APIs in India. The Indian government, while being vigilant, will have to make every possible effort to stop dumping in the field of APIs by China. This applies not only in the case of APIs but also in the field of other chemicals. According to experts of the chemical industry, two Indian companies named United Phosphorus Limited (UPL) and Hindustan Chemical Limited (HCL) have set up plants at a cost of ₹500 crore with the aim of self-sufficiency in ‘Sodium Cyanide’ in the country. But since these plants have been set up, China, European Union, Japan and South Korea has started using their economic muscles to reduce the landed price of Sodium Cyanide, despite increase in their production cost. This is making production by UPL and HCL economically unviable. Director General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) of Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has proposed anti-dumping duty on imports from China and European Union. But the process of getting such relief for the industry is long and tedious, the country needs to create an expert intelligence agency in the field of international trade so that any such situation of unethical trade practice by foreign countries and their businesses, can be dealt with successfully. #activeingredients #api #chineseAPI

As I am sure everyone has felt this year, the pharma market has been in a difficult place. Facing a perfect storm of high interest rates, margin pressures from the US' IRA and other spending containment measures, and an impending LoE cliff, manufacturers have been forced to reassess many aspects of their business. This has resulted in large-scale, industry-wide pipeline assessment and realignment, with Roche's journey being a prime example of such portfolio management, cutting 25% of its pipeline and focusing on areas like obesity and ophthalmology.   What does this mean for service companies like Envision? Clearly, with fewer products in the pipeline, we could see this as a threat, but I think it represents an opportunity to reinforce the value of the expertise we bring to the industry. With companies having fewer products in the pipeline, there are higher stakes to ensure therapies are developed and commercialized effectively. Eager to prove his worth, he charged ahead, setting aggressive targets for his regional teams without taking the time to understand their challenges or build their confidence. The results were disastrous. Morale plummeted, employees left in droves, and the company faced a crisis. How to Prevent the Next Pandemic - by Bill Gates. Bill makes it clear that a lot of execution was badly done or in some cases not done at all. Clearly, the world needs a hard look at "Lessons Learned" from Covid. There is a lot of technology development around the world which will improve the reaction times of all of the phases (Recognition, Threat Definition, Diagnostics, Preventives, Amelioration, Treatment) of dealing with the next pandemic. Because everyone wants to do everything cheaper, better, faster, and get rich. Bill recommends adding some new (small) organization. I think this is very hard to put in place because politics is currently very partisan. I suggest; doing the hard work of Lessons Learned; running the technology development engines at full throttle; and lubricating the regulatory rules to bring advances to market safely, quickly, and economically.
