This is one of the most disappoing bills to have passed. Aside from now having to market against ourselves after ridiculous restrictions on other marketing, and the fact that these are just going to further cause our industry to be polluters with a plant that could be healing the planet instead, there is no credible scientific research to support the claims regarding cannabis use during pregnancy and the Prop 65 disclosure is nonsense. I’m not a healthcare practipner or a scientist, but know research based on barely cited studies of other research that is questionable at best, is not the way. Way to control women’s bodies California. Shame on us. Maybe let us and our doctors decide. Kaiser of all healthcare establishments worked with me during my pregnancy, although I did have to switch OB’s because the woman tried to drug test me. Kaiser looked at the research and said, “cannabis use during pregnancy might contribute to low birth weight, which might contribute to higher likelihood of ADHD.” Note to all Californians: we have a California Consitutional RIGHT TO PRIVACY. Also, Zofran has dozens of class actions with actual injuries to babies - maybe start there instead of fabricated summaries of other people’s work. It’s so frustrating to see all this negativity around cannabis use from a state happily taking billions of our tax dollars.
