We work with and for the players in the food value chain, hand-in-hand with our strategic partners and investors 🙌 This year, together with Nesters Tech we carried out many initiaves in Latin America. These efforts brought us closer to our goal of collaborating with strategic investors to build a sustainable food value chain while reaffirming our commitment to our Grassroot Investors. Some of these joint actions were: 👉 Uruguay: Together with INIA Uruguay, BID Lab and ANNI we lead the #CONVERGE program, a platform for 50 startups from over 7 countries. Additionally, we partnered with UIH at a meeting with Farmers discussing "Agtech Opportunities: Adoption and investment in technologies for the agricultural sector" 👉 Argentina: Joint exchange day with students and professors of the agribusiness Masters from Universidad Austral, Argentina and final GIN Group meeting of the year where we discussed global food industry trends, the impact of technology and digitalization, capital flows, investment opportunities, and Argentina's international potential. 👉Guatemala: Participation in the #VolcanoTalks, a space generated by Volcano Summit, which provided a platform to discuss industry challenges and solutions. This initiative is part of our efforts to boost the Central American ecosystem, replicating the ecosystem models we have been developing in other Latin American countries. 👉Bolivia: Participation as featured speakers in the fair's panels in the #ExpoAgropecruz and we conducted an innovative workshop with 30 entrepreneurs from top Santa Cruz universities, assisting them with their business models and product-market fit. For us, this journey together with #Nesters is essential to continue promoting one of the most important values of #TheYieldLabLatam: the Regional foodprint. New Artificial Intelligence System Connects Startups and Corporations! The Yield Lab Latam is a partner in a new technology platform launched this week by Rural Ventures in São Paulo. It is called R2 CONECTA, a system that brings together over 420 mapped and technically validated startups to offer companies innovative solutions. The goal is to simplify access to information and reduce some of the existing bottlenecks in the sector, with scattered data, inefficient processes, and often a limited view of the potential of startups. The system aims to better integrate startup solutions with the needs of companies and rural producers. With a presence across Latin America, The Yield Lab will enhance the platform, which currently only gathers data from Brazil. “We are in contact with over 2,500 startups across Latin America, 900 of which are from Brazil, and the rest from Mexico and southward. Our role is to feed the platform with our database and thus standardize the information in a way that is easiest for the AI to process and transmit to the users,” explains Kieran Finbar Gartlan, Managing Partner at YLL. For startups, the tool represents new business opportunities. Corporations will be able to find and compare solutions that align with their needs efficiently. Meanwhile, investors will also have access to the automated system with information that will open up a pipeline of good opportunities. “Today, the ecosystem is fragmented. Each has its own separate system. But when it comes to accessing technology, there should be no barriers,” explains Fernando Rodrigues, Managing Partner at Rural Ventures.

Argentina proudly took center stage at the inaugural Expo Agritech 2024 in Spain! Spain has successfully launched a new event for agritech innovation with the first edition of Expo Agritech 2024. This event, organized by the Spanish government and ICEX, served as a meeting point for over 8.000 attendees to explore the latest technological advancements in agriculture. Argentina positioned itself as the guest of honor at Expo Agritech 2024, demonstrating its global leadership in agricultural innovation. With the backing of the Argentine Foreign Ministry, a delegation of producers, SMEs, startups and investors, traveled to Spain to showcase the diversity and potential of the Argentine agricultural sector. On this occasion, it was our partner Teresita Di Marco who represented our team at the expo, taking part in one of the panels called "Meeting with international investors. Unlocking investment opportunities in Spain". This panel provided an invaluable opportunity to present our investment thesis, how we work, and what is important for us when looking for investment opportunities. By participating in such events, we strive to bridge geographical gaps and bring Latin American talent to the forefront of the global agritech stage.

We were at Tech Week in Chile! 🤗 Graciela Budinich Villanelo represented the #TheYieldLabLatam team, attending unique events that foster networking and knowledge exchange with key industry players. 👉 On the one hand, Graciela participated at #CumbreACVC, an annual meeting bringing together LATAM VC investment ecosystem. Key industry players met to stimulate VC investment at the public and private levels, promoting its impact across all dimensions. 👉 On the other hand, invited by Impacta VC, Graciela also attended this major Latin American networking event #ETMDay. With over 40,000 attendees, ETM connects innovative ideas, industry leaders, and business opportunities over three days of inspiration and networking. Additionally, Graciela participated in a breakfast hosted by WeInvest highlighting the importance of gender diversity in the investment landscape and its potential to drive innovation and growth in the agritech sector. By participating in these events, we continue to develop our Capillarity Ecosystem. We connect with #AgriFoodTech talents through diverse, multicultural conversations to provide context, enrich knowledge, and accelerate industry transformation.

The future of Argentine entrepreneurship is closer than ever! On November 28th, we were part of #IEVentureDayArgentina at the Palacio San Martín. This event, organized together with Globant and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, brought together the brightest minds in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Our partner Tomás Peña was one of the leaders in the sector who participated as a panelist and shared his vision on the future of agrotechnology. And that's not all! During the event, five startups presented their most innovative projects to a jury of experts. It was a day full of inspiration, networking and great opportunities. We can't wait to see how these startups transform the Argentine business landscape!

Another year being agents of change! This time, we had the opportunity to share an incredible week in Guatemala with our strategic partner, Volcano Summit, actively participating in the country's agri-food ecosystem. We further solidified our commitment to our core values: 👉 Grassroot Engagement: We held meetings with key players in Guatemala's agri-food sector to introduce #TheYieldLabLatam and our mission to promote digitalization and technology. Also, our investors, including Nestlé, Fondo de Fondos, and Nesters Tech, shared their experiences working with #TheYieldLabLatam and the strategic value of investing in a sustainable, tech-driven future. 👉 Grasroot Proximity: Our portfolio startups @sioma Auravant and ucrop.it participated in discussions and showcased their innovative products and services to industry leaders, fostering valuable networking opportunities. 👉 Grassroot Capillarity: We expanded our network within the agri-food innovation ecosystem, strengthening our regional presence. Together, we are committed to driving positive change in the agri-food sector by working hand-in-hand with key stakeholders and leveraging the talent and expertise of Latin America. Last, but not least, it is worth highlighting the role of the #VolcanoTalks, a space generated by #VolcanoSummit, which provided a platform to discuss industry challenges and solutions. This week in Guatemala was a testimony to how we put these values into action, creating a tangible impact on the industry.

Building a Geospatial Bridge to Feed the Future! 🤩 Our partner Tomás Peña kicked off the event for the Taylor Geospatial Institute, discussing impactful topics like the intersection of Geospatial Technology and Artificial Intelligence. Even better, he explored how these technologies can connect Saint Louis and Latin America 🤝 One of the key points Tomás highlighted was our #FarmerCentric approach at #TheYieldLabLatam. We strongly believe that our entire investment model should be centered around the farmer and focused on building ecosystems that are not only more sustainable for a better quality of life but also more multicultural on a regional and global scale, breaking down traditional borders. End-Year Investor Meeting in Argentina 🙌 After successful meetings with investors from Chile, Brazil, and Mexico, we closed the year meeting with Argentine investors. We would like to thank Galicia Ventures for organizing this meeting where investors, founders of our portfolio of companies, farmers and key industry players participated. This event featured interesting panels and debates to define the next steps for the sector. We firmly believe that these types of meetings are crucial to fostering innovation and collaboration.
