    m.a.d.woman was set up to encourage, inspire and enable people to make a positive difference to the environment, the community and to the lives of those who need support. In just over six years, more than 7000 people have helped support nearly 300,000 others through m.a.d.woman projects and programs.

    About the m.a.d.woman foundation

    m.a.d.woman was set up to encourage, inspire and enable people to make a positive difference to the environment, the community and to the lives of those who need support. In just over six years, more than 7000 people have helped support nearly 300,000 others through m.a.d.woman projects and programs.

    The m.a.d.woman foundation is the new charitable arm of social enterprise m.a.d.woman, which has built a reputation for being innovative and creative in the delivery of programs and products that all contribute to communities in a social and/or environmental way.

    A small snapshot of our achievements includes:

    • Creating around 70,000 meals for hungry and homeless Australians
    • Aiding thousands of survivors of Black Saturday bushfires & Australian floods
    • Providing care packs and items for disabled and disadvantaged youth, long-term
    • unemployed, as well as children and families doing it tough.
    • Makeovers for a number of charities in Melbourne and Sydney.

    About the Founder

    Founder and CEO Melina Schamroth is a professional speaker, author and award-winning social entrepreneur. Melina was recently named one of the 40 Most Inspiring Women over 40 in Australia in Prevention Magazine and the recent winner of The CEO Magazine Executive of the Year for Community Achievement. She was co-named 2009 RMIT Communicator of the Year with acclaimed human rights activist The Hon. Michael Kirby.

    Melina was also a Finalist in the 2009 Premier’s Community Volunteering Leadership Awards and the 2010 BrainLink Women of Achievement awards.
