It’s All About ME!

It’s All About ME!

Jumping ship and moving jobs is a big decision; even bigger if you are a senior leader.    It’s only natural when it comes time to make a move, to stop and think “what do I want?” And ask yourself some key questions:

  • what are my motivators?

  • what “rocks my boat”?

  • who is doing what out in the market?

  • do I join a leading corporate or a brand about to make it?

  • who will I work with and will I be inspired?

Like anything you want to achieve in life unless you have a plan it is unlikely you will get to the destination point.  As a leading Headhunter, I encourage you to be selfish “about ME”.

YOU need to work through what you want, what does success looks like for you, what culture will work best, what values align, what do you expect to find, or not find, in your next role.

The answers to these questions will help to shape a

ME Plan

Your plan is only one side of the equation.  When on the hunt for a new role, often you are in the hands of the hiring firm to provide an accurate lens on potential employers and an insight on how you will fit them.    The more that lens gives a raw and unedited version of the job, the leaders in the business and the culture that supports success, the more that the real story will be uncovered and a great match to be found.

ME | Through a Transparent Lens

So let me show you one of my clients through a transparent lens and provide you with a clear insight into their business.

It is with great delight that I am engaged to work for ME Bank, who is emerging as a serious player in the digital financial services space.  They are thinking about what “You & ME want”.  They have a transparent lens and have moved their culture towards free thinking.

Their customer philosophies include Know ME, Know More Than ME, Don’t Bullshit ME and Make ME Smile.  The corporate values that underpin those promises are:

Go to the Moon    |     Love Monday   |    Ride the Subway

Stay Hungry    |     Have a Swing

Jamie McPhee is the brain child behind ME.  As CEO since 2010 he has led the charge after being sick of the same old cheesy corporate clichés. Under Jamie’s direction, ME is determined to become a different kind of bank to any other in Australia with a philosophy that every Australian should be liberated to live the best life they can.

When Jamie kicked off a technology transformation program the desire was to challenge the major banks through product and service innovation and operational efficiency. ME is now positioned as one of the most technologically advanced banks in Australia.

Davidson Technology’s Executive Search is now “taking a swing” and working in partnership with the CIO of ME, Mark Gay to enable their vision of being Australia’s best bank in the digital era. Mark is vaulting technology capabilities to deliver on immediate growth plans and deliver digital enhancements that will innovate and create customer delight and loyalty.

As we take ME to a new technology horizon we are hunting for the leaders to join Mark’s senior leadership team.  We need a team of leaders that innovate and do things others haven’t, are agile thinkers, ready to do and think, able to lead and be hungry to do things differently.

We are now actively hiring for ME Bank and will need great Technology Executives for the following roles:

  • General Manager - Data

  • General Manager - Cyber Security

  • General Manager - Business Solutions

  • General Manager - Infrastructure & Operations

So as you selfishly (and rightly so) think about what’s in it for ME we want to know you and what you seek. Come and chat to us about the new ME and the new YOU.
