    WORKING WITH RAMSAY HEALTH CARE, WE WERE APPOINTED THE HEAD CONTRACTOR ON THERE NEW MILLION DOLLAR EXPANSION OPERATING THEATRE & A NEW DAY SURGERY CENTRE TO THE FACILITY.

    In one of the first of its kind for a hospital in Queensland, the new development at
    Caboolture Private – consisting of a new operating theatre and day surgery - was
    constructed offsite and delivered in nine individual building modules by semi-trailers
    under police escort.

    This revolutionary construction process will significantly reduce the overall construction
    time, resulting in this new extension to the hospital being ready for occupancy by June
    2014.
    The delivery was staged over two days and each module and roof section was carefully
    lifted into place by crane.

    Hospital CEO Chris Murphy said there were significant time-savings with this modular
    form of construction He said one key benefit was that much fewer trades people and vehicles are required ,onsite minimising traffic congestion, parking issues and inconvenience with potential
    disruption to services.
    “The other key benefit is that this construction method will reduce the overall build time by approximately 50 %.

    It is expected that this new extension to the
    hospital will be ready for occupancy by end
    of July 2014

    Internal redevelopment of existing shared rooms is now underway and will see the
    creation of more private room accommodation.
    At completion of the project Donvale will have 90 beds of which 82
    will be private rooms.
    The project was designed by Team2;
    project managed by ISIS and
    constructed by APB Modular. It is the
    biggest development at Donvale since
    the extension which saw it become a
    dedicated rehabilitation facility in 1991.
    The redevelopment will be officially
    opened in late June

    The Shepparton Private Hospital Day Procedure Unit project was an extension of the existing hospital.

    APB Britco was contracted as the principal contractor for this multi-million dollar design and construction project.

    The project was delivered to site June 2013 after six weeks of detailed design and engineering and six weeks construction time in our Glendenning, NSW facility. The site installation and site servicing were also completed in six weeks.

    APB Britco’s team overcame challenging soil conditions on site and incorporated interlinking nurse call communication systems and medigas systems with existing main building networks.

    The Shepparton Private Hospital had high exterior design requirements. Working with architects Team 2 Design, the APB Britco design team was able to provide rendered texture coat to the exterior walls, higher roof pitch, large windows with sun hoods and no visible module joins while using an off-site modular construction process.

    The extension project included interview rooms, an operating theatre with HEPA filtration, pre-operative preparation rooms, a Stage-1 & 2 recovery area, departure lounge, dirty/clean utilities and two link ways into the existing hospital.

    In addition to APB Britco’s contract for the modular building, the APB Britco site team executedthe civil works, strip footings and piers, plant area, major electric upgrades to site and existing facility, all connection of services, car park expansion and fire hydrant and landscaping upgrades

    Working with ISIS Project as project manager . APBBritco was engaged by Ramsay Health to design, build, install and commission a twenty-five bed ward extension to the Beleura Private Hospital site for this multi-million dollar design and construct project.

    This project was delivered to an operating hospital site with tight contractual deadlines and site specifications. The extension was completed in fourteen weeks from the placement of the order which included four weeks detailed design and engineering, six weeks of off-site construction in APB Britco’s Glenndenning NSW facility and four weeks on site installation and commissioning.

    The vision for this project required an aesthetically appealing ward extension that was delivered to the same or better quality standards expected from conventional builders, but built in 1/3 of the time.

    The scope included design and engineering in compliance with the Health Facility Guidelines, Victoria Health Regulations and all relevant BCA and Australian Standards.

    The scope also included footings, piers, installation of modules, a link way to the existing hospital and commissioning, which included the connection of fire, electrical, and incorporated interlinking nurse call communication systems and medigas systems with existing main building networks.

    The IVF Clinic included reception area, consulting rooms, procedure room, embryo transfer, laboratory, dirty and clean utilities and recovery area.

  • Nepean Hospital

    Running the tender subbmission on this project and then Contract and Delivery, engaged to design, build install and commission a gateway clinic, storeroom and doctors accommodation to Nepean Hospital site for this multi-million dollar design and construct project.

    The vision for this project required an aesthetically appealing extension that was delivered to better quality standards than expected from conventional buildings and built in 1/2 of the time.
