Sydney 2054 Plan
Sydney is growing, but in a haphazard way, without a coordinated vision that embraces our growing population needs, our economy, our infrastructure or even the basic livability of this city.

We must develop a vision for Sydney in 2054 that plans for a bigger, polycentric city, that brings growth together with jobs and affordability of housing, livability and urban development, connectivity and productivity, transport and infrastructure investment. In short, we want a sustainable city, a Sydney that can retain its title as Australia’s Premier Global city.
The Committee for Sydney is creating such a plan, under a committee chaired by Dr Robert Lang, who has a strong reputation in strategic urban planning, transport infrastructure and place making. He will be joined by experts on economics, urban planning, transport, population demographics, housing & development to bring together a sustainable 2054 vision for Sydney.
